one interesting thing I noticed recently is that almost ALL of the Ra Material was transmitted in 1981-1982, and almost three quarters of it was in the first year.

1983/1984: sessions 102 through 106

for some reason I had got it into my head that the Chanellings were a weekly event, when Don got time off work. Obviously this understanding was very flawed

looking at the dates, in 1981, there were often sequences of 5 chanellings in 5 days, which would have exerted a fearsome toll on one's vital energies. One is amazed they made it into the second year lol.

There are many references to the term other-self in the Law of One.

Ra: I am Ra. This is incorrect. The second-density concept of serving self includes the serving of those associated with tribe or pack. This is not seen in second density as separation of self and other-self. All is seen as self since in some forms of second-density entities, if the tribe or pack becomes weakened, so does the entity within the tribe or pack.

The new or initial third-density entity has this innocent, shall we say, bias or distortion towards viewing those in the family, the society, as you would call, perhaps, country, as self. Thus though a distortion not helpful for progress in third density, it is without polarity.

The break becomes apparent when the entity perceives other-selves as other-selves and consciously determines to manipulate other-selves for the benefit of the self. This is the beginning of the road of which you speak.

We begin with the mental learn/teachings necessary for contact with intelligent infinity. The prerequisite of mental work is the ability to retain silence of self at a steady state when required by the self. The mind must be opened like a door. The key is silence.

Within the door lies an hierarchical construction you may liken unto geography and in some ways geometry, for the hierarchy is quite regular, bearing inner relationships.

To begin to master the concept of mental discipline it is necessary to examine the self. The polarity of your dimension must be internalized. Where you find patience within your mind you must consciously find the corresponding impatience and vice versa. Each thought that a being has, has in its turn an antithesis. The disciplines of the mind involve, first of all, identifying both those things of which you approve and those things of which you disapprove within yourself, and then balancing each and every positive and negative charge with its equal. The mind contains all things. Therefore, you must discover this completeness within yourself.

The second mental discipline is acceptance of the completeness within your consciousness. It is not for a being of polarity in the physical consciousness to pick and choose among attributes, thus building the roles that cause blockages and confusions in the already-distorted mind complex. Each acceptance smoothes part of the many distortions that the faculty you call judgment engenders.

The third discipline of the mind is a repetition of the first but with the gaze outward towards the fellow entities that it meets. In each entity there exists completeness. Thus, the ability to understand each balance is necessary. When you view patience, you are responsible for mirroring in your mental understanding, patience/impatience. When you view impatience, it is necessary for your mental configuration of understanding to be impatience/patience. We use this as a simple example. Most configurations of mind have many facets, and understanding of either self polarities, or what you would call other-self polarities, can and must be understood as subtle work.

The next step is the acceptance of the other-self polarities, which mirrors the second step.

These are the first four steps of learning mental discipline. The fifth step involves observing the geographical and geometrical relationships and ratios of the mind, the other mind, the mass mind, and the infinite mind.

The second area of learn/teaching is the study/understanding of the body complexes. It is necessary to know your body well. This is a matter of using the mind to examine how the feelings, the biases, what you would call the emotions, affect various portions of the body complex. It shall be necessary to both understand the bodily polarities and to accept them, repeating in a chemical/physical manifestation the work you have done upon the mind bethinking the consciousness.

The body is a creature of the mind’s creation. It has its biases. The biological bias must be first completely understood and then the opposite bias allowed to find full expression in understanding. Again, the process of acceptance of the body as a balanced, as well as polarized, individual may then be accomplished.

It is then the task to extend this understanding to the bodies of the other-selves whom you will meet. The simplest example of this is the understanding that each biological male is female; each biological female is male. This is a simple example. However, in almost every case wherein you are attempting the understanding of the body of self or other-self, you will again find that the most subtle discernment is necessary in order to fully grasp the polarity complexes involved.

At this time we would suggest closing the description until the next time of work so that we may devote time to the third area commensurate with its importance.

There is Infinity. This is All There Is. This is the One Infinite Creator.

Infinity is intelligent. Intelligent Infinity then, realizing its infinite potential and, through the catalyst of (free-)will, concentrates itself into a focus, or thought, which is vibrant. This focus* yields a kinetic. This kinetic, motion, or intelligent energy, is the creative principle which generates further work, action and motion, which manifests as light; and through these vibratory rhythms, articulations and distortions, the basic structure of the universe is designed; its geometrical patterns, ratios and laws mathematically configured.

The Creation

Light is the very fabric of Creation, arranged, organized and articulated by the Creator in a variety of mathematical configurations and geometrical patterns, figures and ratios (this resulting in various degrees of "solidity" or "consistency," vibrationally-speaking, going all the way from denser/slower to subtler/faster "densities" or "frequencies" of light).

Thus, the white light is prismatically refracted, or fragmentized, into seven primary illusions, or vibratory light spectra (or grades, levels, stages, or dimensionalities): each spectra categorically and experientially different from the other; each one representing a distinct set of experiences and lessons to be learned/experienced by the Creator in order to satisfy its own intelligent estimate of knowing/experiencing itself and (re)discovering/exploring its own infinitude through an evolutionary process.

Evolution

The Creation unfolds ifinitely outwards. Once condensed, it begins to draw/spiral inwards (or fold back into its center: the Creator). The process or experience of evolution is then set in motion, as planetary spheres begin to form out of primal matter (red-ray spectrum), and single foci of consciousness begin to originate, grow and individuate (orange-ray spectrum forward). These entities, or foci of consciousness, having their beginnings in un-awareness, progress through the evolutionary spiral stairway, if you will, processing, distilling and refining experiences/lessons, gradually (re)discovering and becoming more self-conscious/aware of their beingness as the Creator as they transition through each vibratory spectra in sequential manner; each "step" building upon the former (each ray or frequency of light corresponding to a distinct grade or vibratory-rate of awareness/consciousness).

Thus entities evolve, seeking their source, first un-consciously by instinct, then by will and conscious desire; being drawn/called further upwards/inwards in each subsequent act, moving ever "closer" to the original thought of the Creator, to finally merge with it-self once again in oneness.

In this manner the Creator recapitulates in reverse its own "awakening" or "coming-into-being" in temporal and spatial configurations by exploring limitations, distortions, biases, necessities, differentiations, etc. Thus the One becomes "many"—or rather, invests itself in the exploration of "many-ness"—in order to know/experience its infinite oneness. This is the single purpose of Creation: experience.

Infinity - Ad Infinitum

Once the Creation is concluded and the Creator is fulfilled with the experience of itself, the Creator melds back into the very mystery of its own infinitude (the kinetic phase of Intelligent Infinity returning into a state of un-potentiation): that void, or plenum, full of infinite potential, from which a new Creation, a new intelligence, a new infinity, may begin anew.

I think the term 'Service to Others' has a great potential for being mis-understood. This is because our cultural heritage has legacied to us various christian notions of service and self-sacrifice. Most prominent among these are:

* doing charitable deeds (visible service)
* donating money/time (pouring one's personal resources into an organisation)
* martyrdom ('sacrifice' of the self, for the perceived benefit of the other).

Ra uses the term STO primarily, but Don also asked about other definitions or understandings of polarity.

The Ways of Acceptance. The Ra material offers much advice on self-balancing, and these are keyed around the notion of 'acceptance'. Now, some might say this is putting too much emphasis on the technique, but Ra offers us Archetype 22 as the 'choice'; which is a unifying concept. What more unifying concept is there than making a choice of accepting something, or rejecting it?

this further expands on the notion of the spiritual path as one of BEING, rather than DOING. The Doing, of course, arises when an opportunity presents itself, and when there is a calling; but the emphasis is on the cultivation of an attitude which is kindly and accepting, and embracing.

Everything you see or otherwise imagine is made of light. And there is no difference between seeing or imagining. You might say seeing is done by the optical lenses of the physical body/apparatus which is filtered into the mind complex for internal processing, and that perhaps the functioning of imagining should be strictly relegated to the mind complex alone—it matters not. This is the point: there is an observer. It is not a question of whether what you observe is “solid” or “intangible”—the point is that you are observing. The act of observing implies an object of observation; which must, out of necessity, be visual—as are all phenomena occurring both/either outside in space/time or/and inside in time/space—and all visual phenomena are constructs of light.

Light comes into being by the action of observation. And the ultimate observer is that one great Original Thought: that focus of intelligent energy known as the Logos, or Love (aptly called "the Creative Principle"). It is by this kinetic focus of pure motion/vibration that all is illuminated. They key is focus, or thought. Thus, the 2nd distortion—Love—creates the 3rd: light.

And you, by being a focus of consciousness, are already a co-Creator.

And though you may not realize it (or may, to greater or lesser extent), you are creating, organizing, ordering, regulating and modulating all the light material around you (within the possibilities/limitations of 3rd-density and, to some extent, 4th) into vibrationally matching arrangements, patterns, and configurations of light by the sheer act of thought alone.

Thought is the Creative Principle. Thought is a focus of consciousness as intelligent energy. Thought is Love. Love is creative (and when I say creativity I mean con-structive and de-structive; or in other words, trans-formative, for Love is not static; Love is kinetic, flux, pure vibration).

What you may not yet realize, though, is that “matter” is light—not clear white light in its un-diffracted purity, but a certain “quality” or “intensity” of the original light—a “type” of light nonetheless.

Indeed, light is the only material in and of Creation.

And Thought creates light. Or if you prefer, Love creates light. Thought, or love, is the Creative Principle: the Great Observer; the active, kinetic focus of intelligent energy, which not only creates or manifests light, but also has the power (i.e. free-will) to direct it, arrange it, and organize it into holographic, illusory shapes, forms and patterns. This is how all densities and planes of manifestation come into being. This is what the Logos is and what the Logos does.

And you are dancing Thoughts—sub-Logoi, co-Creators.
