I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 106.14:

“Questioner: What is Peter’s last name? I am not familiar with who he is.

Ra: I am Ra. The name by which this entity chooses to be known is Inman.”

In the previous question and answer Don and Ra were talking about the deleterious energy exchange that took place between Don and Carla. Ra was giving us advice about how to undo this unfortunate energy exchange and mentioned both the healer known as Bob I. and now Peter Inman. So, in this question Don asked Ra who Peter was as Don was not familiar with him. It is interesting to me that Peter was the third healer that Ra had suggested to us without our knowing who the healers were before Ra mentioned them. I assume that Ra did the equivalent of a Google search of the most potentially helpful healers regarding our needs for such at the given moment. Ra first suggested that we consult Bob I. to help Carla with allergies in 98.5:

The more general recommendation lies with one which does not wish to be identified. There is a code name prayer wheel. We suggest ten treatments from this healer and further suggest a clear reading and subsequent following, upon the part of the instrument, of the priorities of allergy, especially to your foodstuffs.

Bob had invented this “Code Name Prayer Wheel” and could program your situation into the prayer wheel so that it would work on ameliorating your situation on a continuous basis. Bob was very helpful to Carla for almost a year, and we eventually met him and could feel his loving and healing vibrations quite profoundly. He eventually retired to the woods to live a life of prayer and giving thanks. In 106.3, Ra mentioned how Bob I. could use his Code Name Prayer Wheel to work on Carla’s situation on a continuous basis:

Questioner: Would Ra please recommend the steps we should take to alleviate or reverse the conditions of which you just spoke?

Ra: I am Ra. We can do this. The renal distortions are subject to affirmations. The entity, at present, beginning what may be called initiation, is releasing toxins and, therefore, larger amounts of liquid to aid in the dilution of these toxins is helpful. The allergies are already being largely controlled by affirmation and the near-constant aid of the healer known as Bob. Further aid may be achieved by the relocation of dwelling and future vigilance against humidity exceeding the healthful amount in the atmosphere breathed.

The mental/emotional distortions are somewhat less easily lessened. However, the questioner and instrument together shall find it possible to do such a working.

Then Ra introduced us to the allopathic healer, Dr. Arthur Schoen, in 102.2, to help us get antispasmodic medications for Carla’s spasming stomach and G.I. tract. However, Dr. Schoen refused to read Ra’s diagnosis of Carla’s condition and wanted nothing to do with us. This is Ra’s quote that sent us to him:

There are stronger anti-spasmodic drugs which the one not known to this instrument, but known as Arthur, may aid by the offering. The recommendation to do this, being as it is that which does not retain or remove life and does further remove from the instrument its opportunities for study in this situation, needs must be withheld. We are not in a position to recommend treatment at this space/time beyond the watching of the types of foodstuffs ingested.

And then in this session Ra introduced us to Peter Inman. I don’t believe that we ever got in touch with him. And just as another interesting aside, Ra always referred to people by their first name only until we asked as to the last name whether it was Arthur, Peter, Bob, Benjamin (Franklin), Thomas (Jefferson), Andrija (Puharich), or any other person that they were speaking of.

This morning I watered the back yard as we are once again in a dry spell. Then I took some time to begin the Camelot Journal entries for the next few days as I know I will have less time to do my regular routines as our Homecoming Gathering begins tomorrow evening.

This afternoon I placed the chrysanthemums around the Sun Patiens in the Sun Mandala after the fellows from Cincinnati brought our tent this morning. Then I took down all of the wire protective fence in five places around the yard where I wanted to keep the deer from eating the Hostas. My last job of the afternoon was to clean the bathroom toilet and tub upstairs with the kitties as there will probably be folks wanting to use that bathroom over the next three days.

September 15

The Desire To Dwell In Love

I am a voice speaking with the full consciousness of love. I greet you in that love manifested by Jesus the Christ to all of humankind.

At your prayers and meditations we find you relaxing and resting the body and yet not relaxing and resting the mind. How fretful is the mind of humankind, steeped in everyday concerns!

Can it not be perhaps possible that the mind also might rest, relax, find comfort and open the doors within in seeking? For those doors reveal Jesus the Christ and those qualities of consciousness which were manifested unto you and may again and always be manifested unto you if there is a pure and profound desire to dwell innerly in love. These gifts are yours if you can but make room for them. There is no hurry. These gifts are eternal.

Peace be with you now and ever. Amen.

“Questioner: Could Ra recommend what I should do to improve my state of health?

Ra: I am Ra. We tread most close to the Law of Confusion in this instance but feel the appropriateness of speaking due to potentially fatal results to the instrument. We pause to give the questioner and the scribe a few moments of space/time to aid us by stepping away from those distortions which cause us to invoke the Law of Confusion. This would be helpful.

[A few moments pause.]

I am Ra. We appreciate your attempts. Even confusion on your behalves is helpful. The questioner has, in the recent past, allowed a complete transfer of mental/emotional pain from the questioner to the instrument. The key to this deleterious working was when the instrument said words to the effect of the meaning that it would be the questioner and be the strong one. The questioner could be as the instrument, small and foolish. The questioner, in full ignorance of the firm intent of the instrument and not grasping the possibility of any such energy transfer, agreed.

These two entities have been as one for a timeless period and have manifested this in your space/time. Thusly, the deleterious working occurred. By agreement in care and caution it may be undone. We urge the attention to thanksgiving and harmony on the part of the questioner. We may affirm the previous recommendation in general of the skills and the purity of intention of the one known as Bob, and may note the sympathetic illness which has occurred due to the instrument’s sensitivities.

Lastly, we may note that to the one known as Peter several aspects of the distortions experienced by the questioner, the instrument, and the scribe may be quite apparent and rather simply traduced to lesser distortions.”

When Don asked Ra what he could do to improve his state of health, Ra said that they could give an answer even though such an answer came close to breaking Don’s free will. They said that there were potentially life-threatening implications for Carla bound up in Don’s condition, so they felt that responding to Don’s question was appropriate. However, they asked Don and me to “step away from those distortions which cause us to invoke the Law of Confusion.” We were definitely confused as to what this meant, but, fortunately, even our confusion seemed to be helpful in allowing Ra to speak more freely about what the cause of Don’ mental and emotional distortions were. Apparently Carla and Don had a conversation in the recent past in which Carla expressed concern for Don and all of his worries. He was worried that Eastern Airlines would soon go bankrupt, and this would mean that he would no longer be able to support L/L Research or our work together. He was concerned that our negative friend of the fifth-density would eventually succeed in misplacing Carla’s spirit in negative time/space. He was also worried about Carla’s having to bear so much pain from her arthritis and the psychic greetings that intensified this pain on a nearly constant basis. In 68.12, you can feel Don’s concern when talking to Ra about Carla’s mind/body/spirit complex being misplaced into negative time/space:

Questioner: It would seem to me that since I can’t imagine anything anything worse, shall I say, than this particular result, other than possibly the total disintegration of the mind/body/spirit complex due to nuclear bomb, that it would be very advisable to seek out the magical training and defense for this situation. Could Ra and would Ra instruct in this type of magical defense?

Ra: I am Ra. This request lies beyond the first distortion. The entity seeking magical ability must do so in a certain manner. We may give instructions of a general nature. This we have already done. The instrument has begun the process of balancing the self. This is a lengthy process.

To take an entity before it is ready and offer it the scepter of magical power is to infringe in an unbalanced manner. We may suggest with some asperity that the instrument never call upon Ra in any way while unprotected by the configuration which is at this time present.

And in 63.1, you can see why Don was worried about the toll psychic greeting might take on Carla:

Questioner: Could you give me an indication of the condition of the instrument?

Ra: I am Ra. This instrument’s vital energies are at the distortion which is normal for this mind/body/spirit complex. The body complex is distorted due to psychic attack in the area of the kidneys and urinary tract. There is also distortion continuing due to the distortion called arthritis.

You may expect this psychic attack to be constant as this instrument has been under observation by negatively oriented force for some time.

So Carla told Don that she would like for him to let her take on these worries for him. She said that she would be glad to “be the strong one.” She said that he could relax from his worries and be like her, “small and foolish.” Don off-handedly agreed to her suggestion, never thinking for a moment that what Ra called a “deleterious working,” or energy exchange, would result between him and Carla. However, Ra said since Don and Carla “have been as one for a timeless period and have manifested this in your space/time” that situation allowed Don’s pain to be transferred to Carla so that his pain lived in her. And Don, all of the sudden, had an open heart and no way to deal with all of the sensitives that Carla felt. Carla had Don’s worries without his shield of indifference that he had adopted at age 26. Ra said that this working could be undone with “agreement in care and caution,” which I took to mean by the use of faith and will with the addition of giving praise and thanksgiving to the One Creator, especially in Don’s case. In 103.20, Ra makes one of many mentions of the value of praise and thanksgiving:

We find the alignments quite fastidiously observed. You are conscientious. Continue in support, one for the other, and find the praise and thanksgiving that harmony produces. Rest your cares and be merry.

Ra also said that Bob I. and Peter Inman could be helpful in the healing various distortions that all three of us were experiencing. Apparently some of Don’s and Carla’s distortions were the result of the sympathetic resonances that existed between them. Ra first mentioned these sympathetic resonances in 105.22:

We have previously mentioned some temporary measures for the instrument. If these are adopted, additional liquids shall be imbibed by the instrument and by the questioner, whose bond with the instrument is such that each difficulty for one is the same in sympathy for the other.

This sympathetic resonance between Don and Carla might also be another aspect of their being as one for a timeless period which had manifested in our space/time. And there could also be a relationship between this oneness and the possibility that they could also have been the two within our group who had a “loving associate between teach and student as Ra mentioned in 45.7:

Questioner: Are all of us of one of the groups that you mentioned?

Ra: I am Ra. We shall go to the limits of our attempts to refrain from infringement. Two are a sixth-density origin, one a fifth-density harvestable to sixth but choosing to return as a Wanderer due to a loving association between teacher and student. Thus you three form a greatly cohesive group.

There is no real way of knowing whether Don and Carla were these two entities although they were together for twelve years before I met them, and their relationship was quite powerful and stable. Adding all these factors up might provide some idea as to why the deleterious working was possible between Don and Carla.

This morning we had a professional photographer come over to my house and take group and individual pictures of Gary, Austin, Trish, Tiffani, Joanna, Daniel, and me. We moved around different places in the yard to have a variety of photographs, and it was fun to talk about where to go next and who should be in the next pictures.

This afternoon I used my backpack blower to blow all the leaves in the yard into position so that I could mulch them to dust as I was cutting the grass. Then I cut the grass and blew all the walkways clean. While I was mowing I noticed that a lot of flower beds were dry, so the I used my garden hose and watering wand to water the flowers along the parking area in front of the house, the flowers on the Wuthering Heights Mound and the flowers on the Ruins Mound. Then I took my ladder out to the Sun Mandala and used it and eight 8-foot poles to form a protective barrier around the flowers so when the fellow with our tent come tomorrow to erect the tent for Homecoming they won’t damage the flowers.

The Sanctified Nature Of Cycles

I am the Holy Spirit of the nature of Jesus the Christ and I greet you with the full consciousness of love.

Make up your minds to look about you today and open your heart to what you see. You shall see that which is barely growing, that which is in bloom, that which is ending its manifestation, and that in which there seems to be no more life.

This is true of growing things in nature, of pilgrim souls upon their journeys and of each institution made by man and by God. Perhaps you will begin to see the sanctified nature of the cycles of birth and death which are appropriate and beautiful in the continually changing and evolving creation of love.

Growth means change and change is perceived as difficult. May you, today, see the rightness of the rhythms of your experience, celebrating in them the beauty of perfection.

We leave you in the peace of the understanding of the harmonious plan of a loving God, now and ever. Amen.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 106.12:

“Questioner: I’m going to come back to a couple of points here, but I have to get in a question here about myself. It’d seem to be critical at this point. Can Ra tell me what is physically wrong with me, and what’s causing it, and what I could do to alleviate it?

Ra: I am Ra. The questioner is one also in the midst of further initiation. During this space/time the possibility for mental/emotional distortion approaching that which causes the entity to become dysfunctional is markèd. Further, the yellow-ray, chemical vehicle of the questioner is aging and has more difficulty in the absorption of needed minerals such as iron and other substances such as papain, potassium, and calcium.

At the same time the body of yellow ray begins to have more difficulty eliminating trace elements such as aluminum. The energizing effect has occurred in the colon of the questioner and the distortions in that area are increasingly substantial. Lastly, there is a small area of infection in the mouth of the questioner which needs attention.”

In this question Don finally asked Ra about his own condition which had been deteriorating for some time. The first part of Ra’s response said that Don was also undergoing initiation, as was Carla. However, in Don’s case the nature of this initiation involved a strong potential for Don to become dysfunctional in the mental and emotional senses. Ra mentioned that Don had gone through another initiation back in 42.16-.19:

 Questioner: I had one experience in meditation which I spoke of before which was very profound approximately twenty years ago, a little less. What disciplines would be most applicable to re-create this situation and this type of experience?

Ra: I am Ra. Your experience would best be approached from the ceremonial magical stance. However, the Wanderer or adept shall have the far greater potential for this type of experience which, as you have undoubtedly analyzed to be the case, is one of an archetypal nature, one belonging to the roots of cosmic consciousness.

Questioner: Was that in any way related to the Golden Dawn in ceremonial magic?

Ra: I am Ra. The relationship was congruency.

Questioner: Then in attempting to reproduce this experience would I then best follow practices for the Order of the Golden Dawn in reproducing this?

Ra: I am Ra. To attempt to reproduce an initiatory experience is to move, shall we say, backwards. However, the practice of this form of service to others is appropriate in your case working with your associates. It is not well for positively polarized entities to work singly. The reasons for this are obvious.

Questioner: Then this experience was a form of initiation? Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. Yes.

In that initiation Don was meditating and simply became aware of being on another planet that was golden everywhere, the land and the sky as well. There was no test or trauma involved. However, in the initiation spoken of in this question there was some feature of this initiation which was far more demanding that Don be able to pass some kind of test or demonstrate some kind of quality that posed a risk as serious as becoming dysfunctional mentally and emotionally. I don’t know what that was, but I have thought that possibly this initiation could have something to do with a choice that Don made when he was 26 years old. At that time he had observed that most people allowed their positive and negative emotions to take them on wild and uncontrolled rides which resulted in poor decision-making. So Don decided that he would not be swayed by his emotions. He decided that he would become an observer of life and not use the catalyst that came his way. So he became a very wise and unemotional person. Basically, he seemed to shut down his heart, and I am wondering if this initiation might have had something to do with opening his heart again. And maybe after having is heart shut down for so long—combined with the deleterious energy exchange with Carla—was unable to handle all of the emotions that were suddenly swamping his perceptions and ability to deal with them. In 18.5, Ra seems to be speaking to this quality that Don had of ignoring or overcoming his emotions:

Questioner: Thank you. I have a question here from Jim that I will read verbatim: “Much of the mystic tradition of seeking on Earth holds that belief that the individual self must be erased or obliterated and the material world ignored for an entity to reach ‘nirvana,’ as it’s called, or enlightenment. What is the proper role of the individual self and its worldly activities in aiding an entity to grow more into the Law of One?”

Ra: I am Ra. The proper role of the entity is in this density to experience all things desired, to then analyze, understand, and accept these experiences, distilling from them the love/light within them. Nothing shall be overcome. That which is not needed falls away.

The orientation develops due to analysis of desire. These desires become more and more distorted towards conscious application of love/light as the entity furnishes itself with distilled experience. We have found it to be inappropriate in the extreme to encourage the overcoming of any desires, except to suggest the imagination rather than the carrying out in the physical plane, as you call it, of those desires not consonant with the Law of One; this preserving the primal distortion of free will.

The reason it is unwise to overcome is that overcoming is an unbalanced action creating difficulties in balancing in the time/space continuum. Overcoming thus creates the further environment for holding onto that which apparently has been overcome.

All things are acceptable in the proper time for each entity, and in experiencing, in understanding, in accepting, in then sharing with other-selves, the appropriate description shall be moving away from distortions of one kind to distortions of another which may be more consonant with the Law of One.

It is, shall we say, a shortcut to simply ignore or overcome any desire. It must instead be understood and accepted. This takes patience and experience which can be analyzed with care, with compassion for self and for other-self.

And in 54.21, Don could well have been talking about his own situation when he asked Ra this question:

Questioner: A positively oriented entity may select a certain narrow path of thinking and activities during an incarnation and program conditions that would create physical pain if this path were not followed. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This is correct.

Ra went on to say that Don’s body was having difficulty in absorbing certain minerals and in eliminating certain trace elements such as aluminum because his body was getting older. I am betting that the aluminum came from being an airline pilot and having many, many meals served to him in aluminum trays. Apparently this aluminum was having a bad effect in his colon, and our friend of negative polarity was intensifying this effect. Ra finished their answer by saying that Don had an infection in his mouth that needed attention, probably because our negative friend might also be able to intensify this infection to cause bigger problems in his body in general.

This morning I sprayed the Hibiscus with fungicide for the third week in a row. I love these Hibiscus and hope they can survive, but I may need to get a variety that is native to this area so that this doesn’t happen again. Then I ran some errands to pick up food for myself and more fungicide for next week.

This afternoon I drained a quarter of the water out of the fish pond and used it to water the surrounding gardens. As the pond was refilling I did some odds and ends in the yard and made plans for the work that will need to be done the rest of the week before Homecoming begins on Friday.

The Powers Of Death

I am of the spirit of Jesus the Christ which speaks to the world today. I greet you in the full consciousness of divine love.

The powers of death have held great sway over the minds of your peoples in all times, for it is to the powers of death that all that which is negative tends. Yet all the sighs and sorrows in reaction to the experiences of the day guide one ever so subtly away from vitality and towards distraction and distress.

There is no need for the powers of death to have hold upon your mind and your heart. For even where there is perceived an unquestionable catastrophe, yet at the same time the softening voice of spirit speaks to those who listen.

We ask you to tap into this source of peace and life, for there is abundant life in any circumstance, insofar as the will and faith of the struggling seeker may open the inner eye and reach the inner hand to the spirit of truth within.

We leave you in the ineffable peace and love of Jesus the Christ, now and ever. Amen.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 106.9-.11:

“Questioner: Would the cleansing by salt and water then be necessary for this property? Or would it be recommended, shall I say?

Ra: I am Ra. There is the recommended metaphysical cleansing as in any relocation. No matter how fine the instrument, the tuning still is recommended between each concert or working.

Questioner: OK. And if the instrument stays out of the basement, do you think the humidity and physical conditions would be good for the instrument then, is that correct?

Ra: I am Ra. No.

Questioner: The humidity… we must do something about the humidity in the whole house then to make it good for the instrument. Is that correct?

Ra: I am Ra. Yes.”

In the first question Don asked Ra if our new house would need to be cleansed with salt and water since it was so positive in its present vibrations. Ra replied that even the most finely tuned of musical instruments would need to be tuned between each performance. I am sure that any musician knows this principle very well.  In 95.7, Ra gave the general process of using salt and water to cleanse any new dwelling place:

Questioner: Let me see if I have the scenario correctly. I’ll repeat my version of it. We would hang garlic, fresh-cut garlic in the area of the wet bar and the area of the bedroom that is adjacent to the kitchen area. We would salt all window sills and all outer wall door sills and then sprinkle blessed water from our fingers on all of the salted areas. We would then say appropriate words to bid farewell to lower astrals. Those words I am not sure of. Would Ra comment on the scenario that I’ve just stated?

Ra: I am Ra. Your grasp of our suggestions is good. We note that the salt be poured in the straight line with no gaps. There are various ritual words of blessing and farewell to entities such as you are removing. We might suggest the following.

When the salt is laid you may repeat “We praise the One Creator which gave to salt the ability to enable those friends, to which we wish to bid farewell, to find a new home.”

As the water is sprinkled you may say “We give thanks to the One Creator for the gift of water. Over it the Creator moves Its hand and stirs Its will to be done.”

The hanging of the cut garlic may be accompanied by the words “We praise the One Creator for the gift of garlic and bless its ability to offer to those friends to whom we wish to bid farewell the arrow which points their way of egress.”

When the sweeping is done you may say “We praise the One Creator and give thanksgiving for the spiritual cleanliness of this dwelling place.”

As the garlic is burned you may say “We give thanks to the One Creator for the gift of spiritual cleanliness in our dwelling place and seal the departure of all those who have left by this exit by the consuming of this substance.”

In the second and third questions Don referred to the only potential problem with our new house, which was that the basement was particularly humid. So it would be necessary for us to bring the humidity level down in the basement and in the whole house in general. Earlier in this questioning Don was not too optimistic that de-humidifiers would be able to bring the humidity down to acceptable levels, but they did eventually work to do just that. However, in 106.18, Ra sort of changed their tune about the humidity and noted that we really didn’t need to worry about the humidity because Carla’s allergies had subsided, and the house was so angelically blessed:

We may note that, for the purposes you intend, the location, [address redacted], whether humid or arid, is uncharacteristically well-suited. The aggravated present distortions of the instrument having abated due to lack of acute catalyst, the condition of the location about which the assumption was made is extremely beneficial.

This morning I used my backpack blower to blow all of the leaves off of the Moss Garden, and then I used my trimmer to weed the Moss Garden of that tiny little vine that likes to grow on top of the moss. Then I continued on to the Ruins Mound and trimmed all of the weeds off of it.

This afternoon I continued to use my trimmer to trim around all of the walkways, flower gardens, bushes and trees. This is usually a job that I do after I mow the grass, but today I was in the mood to trim, so now all of the trimming is done.

September 12

Open That Door

I am of the principle of divine love and I greet you in the consciousness of full compassion.

Have you far to go this day? Do the miles seem long and weary to travel? Is there little bread and bitter herbs to eat when you come home? So it is in many souls’ experience.

The Comforter does not stop occurrences from happening within your day and within your life. It is a companion. We as a force are with you always. You cannot run faster than we can follow and we shall always bear you up within, if you but seek the comfort of divine love within.

The principle of love, the spirit of Christ, awaits you behind the door of your heart. Open that door. Go into the inner room. Feel the holiness of that ground within. And then take it to the dreary task and the difficult day and find it transformed by love.

“Questioner: Is there anything with respect to the present spiritual or metaphysical condition or physical condition of this [address redacted] house that we’re contemplating that Ra could tell us about that would be deleterious to the instrument’s health?

Ra: I am Ra. We may speak to this subject only to note that there are mechanical electrical devices which control humidity. The basement level is one location, the nature of which is much like that which you have experienced at the basement level of your previous domicile. Less humid conditions would remove the opportunity for the growth of those spores to which the instrument has sensitivity. The upper portions of the domicile are almost, in every case, at acceptable levels of humidity.

Questioner: How about the metaphysical quality of the house? Could Ra appraise that please?

Ra: I am Ra. This location is greatly distorted. We find an acceptable description of this location’s quality to elude us without recourse to hackneyed words. Forgive our limitations of expression. The domicile and its rear aspect, especially, is blessèd and angelic presences have been invoked for some of your time past.

Questioner: I’m not sure that I understand what Ra means by that. I’m not sure that I understand whether the place is metaphysically extremely good or extremely negative. Could Ra clear that up, please?

Ra: I am Ra. We intended to stress the metaphysical excellence of the proposed location. The emblements of such preparation may well be appreciated by this group.”

After five months of a disastrous experience in the Lake Lanier house Don travels back to Louisville, finds our present house, and determines to move us there shortly after this last session with Ra. When Don asked Ra about the physical nature of the house and if anything about it could harm Carla’s health, Ra responds that the basement is high in humidity which can be controlled by de-humidifiers. Later in this session, in 106.19, Ra suggested that the humidity was a minor consideration when seen in light of the positive nature of the house.

Questioner: Then the effect of the— you were saying the effect of the humidity— we will try to get it as low as possible, but you are saying the effect of the humidity is a relatively minor consideration when all the other beneficial factors are taken in with respect to the [address redacted] address? Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. Yes.

Then Don asked Ra about the house’s metaphysical qualities, and Ra’s response is so far into the positive range that Don isn’t sure what Ra meant and asks for clarification. Ra repeats that the house was metaphysically excellent, and that we would be able to appreciate and benefit from this very positive environment. The angelic presences that Ra referred to were very likely invoked by the previous tenets, one of which was an artist and the other a gardener. Carla and I spent 31 years together in this house, and we very much enjoyed its blessed nature. Hopefully, we were able to add to those angelic vibrations with all of the channeling sessions, workshops on the Law of One, and Homecoming Gatherings. In 19.2, Ra said that animals, plants, and even places or locations can become third-density beings:

Questioner: Let’s take the point at which an individualized entity of second density is ready for transition to third. Is this second-density being what we would call animal?

Ra: I am Ra. There are three types of second-density entities which become, shall we say, enspirited. The first is the animal. This is the most predominant. The second is the vegetable, most especially that which you call sound vibration complex “tree.” These entities are capable of giving and receiving enough love to become individualized. The third category is mineral. Occasionally a certain location, place as you may call it, becomes energized to individuality through the love it receives and gives in relationship to a third-density entity which is in relationship to it. This is the least common transition.

This morning I refilled the hummingbird feeders with fresh sugar syrup and finished the cleaning of the fire bricks in the cross area. Then I came in and answered a few emails before taking a nap which felt particularly good, even after a good night’s sleep.

This afternoon I went out to Gary and Trish’s house and watered their house plants, cleaned the litter box for their three cats, and gave them fresh water as Gary and Trish are attending the Coming Home Gathering in Asheville, North Carolina and won’t be home until tomorrow. Then I stopped by Feeder’s Supply to get two weeks’ worth of canned cat food for the cats upstairs because next Sunday we will be in the midst of our Homecoming Gathering. Then I stopped by Paul’s Fruit Market to pick up some food for myself. When I got home I vacuumed out Stanley, Carla’s car, and then picked up all of the dead leaves in the Hibiscus patch.

Mountains Of Smoke

Greetings in the love of Jesus the Christ. I am the consciousness and spirit of the Christ in the vibration which comforts this instrument.

You have many seeming difficulties which rise before you like mountains of smoke, seemingly dense and impenetrable and yet seemingly unable to be grasped. It is of no avail to struggle against these difficulties, for opposition strengthens illusion.

Rather neglect them by turning your attention to your Creator and the preserver of your life, offering praise and thanksgiving to the mystery which you behold.

When you turn again in this consciousness the mountains will be there no longer, and the straight plain will offer your path no hindrance. Amen.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 106.4:

“Questioner: How serious and critical is this renal problem? Is drinking liquids (I assume water is the best) the only thing we can do for that, or is there something else?

Ra: I am Ra. Note the interrelationship of mind and body complexes. This is one example of such interweaving of the design of catalyst and experience. The period of renal delicacy is serious, but only potentially. Should the instrument desire to leave this incarnational experience the natural and non-energized opportunity to do so has been in-built just as the period during which the same entity did, in fact, leave the incarnational experience and then return by choice was inlaid.

However, the desire to leave and be no more a portion of this particular experiential nexus can and has been energized. This is a point for the instrument to ponder and an appropriate point for the support group to be watchful in regards to care for the instrument. So are mind and body plaited up as the tresses of hair of a maiden.

The nature of this entity is gay and sociable so that it is fed by those things we have mentioned previously: the varieties of experience with other-selves and other locations and events being helpful, as well as the experience of worship and the singing, especially of sacred music. This entity chose to enter a worshipful situation with a martyr’s role when first in this geographical location. Therefore, the feeding by worship has taken place only partially. Similarly the musical activities, though enjoyable and therefore of a feeding nature, have not included the aspect of praise to the Creator.

The instrument is in a state of relative hunger for those spiritual homes which it gave up when it felt a call to martyrdom and turned from the planned worship at the location you call the Cathedral of St. Philip. This too shall be healed gradually due to the proposed alteration in location of this group.”

Now we had finally moved to the Lake Lanier house north of Atlanta, and it had been five months since we had a session with Ra. This session would be the last one that we would have, and as Don always did, he began the session by asking Ra as to Carla’s condition. In their first response Ra said that Carla had the potential for “’mortal distortion” of her left kidney and that allergic reactions were making the situation worse. In their second answer Ra suggested that Carla should drink large amounts of water to dilute the toxins in her body, and Ra further suggested asking our healer friend, Bob I. for his assistance.

In this question Don asks Ra how serious the problem is and if there is anything else that we could do for Carla. Ra replied that if Carla should become disheartened enough that this desire to leave the incarnation could be enhanced by our negative friend. Thus Carla’s attitude toward her life needed to be carefully pondered by her. Ra also mentioned that: “Should the instrument desire to leave this incarnational experience the natural and non-energized opportunity to do so has been in-built just as the period during which the same entity did, in fact, leave the incarnational experience and then return by choice was inlaid.” This suggests that Carla (and maybe many of us as well) had the equivalent of pre-incarnative choices that would give her various times that she could naturally leave the incarnation. Ra also mentioned Carla’s NDE when she was 12 years old and prayed to die because she didn’t think that she could be of service to others because her parents decided to give her constructive criticism rather than compliments for her, and Ra spoke of this situation in 63.2-.3:

Questioner: Was the original problem with the kidneys some 25 years ago caused by psychic attack?

Ra: I am Ra. This is only partially correct. There were psychic attack components to the death of this body at that space/time. However, the guiding vibratory complex in this event was the will of the instrument. This instrument desired to leave this plane of existence as it did not feel it could be of service.

Questioner: You are saying that the instrument itself then created the kidney problem at that time?

Ra: I am Ra. The instrument’s desire to leave this density lowered the defenses of an already predisposed weak body complex, and an allergic reaction was so intensified as to cause the complications which distorted the body complex towards unviability. The will of the instrument, when it found that there was indeed work to be done in service, was again the guiding factor or complex of vibratory patterns which kept the body complex from surrendering to dissolution of the ties which cause the vitality of life.

Ra noted that Carla’s normal personality was “gay and sociable,” but that she had chosen the martyr’s role when she decided to join a small nearby church that had no choir to provide her with the spiritual food of sacred music. We had moved to the area just before Christmas, and the choir at the Cathedral of St. Phillip in Atlanta, where Carla had hoped to sing, had a policy that no new members would be accepted until after the Christmas season was over. This just added more discouragement and complexity to what we would discover was developing into a most daunting experience for both Don and Carla. In 44.13, Ra mentioned how sacred music, among other activities, aided her vital energy:

We have spoken before of those things which aid this instrument in the vital energy: the sensitivity to beauty, to the singing of sacred music, to the meditation and worship, to the sharing of self with self in freely given love either in social or sexual intercourse. These things work quite directly upon the vitality. This instrument has a distortion towards appreciation of variety of experiences. This, in a less direct way, aids vitality.

This morning I used some Spray and Clean and a wet mop on the light yellow bricks in the center of the stone walkway that forms the cross in the back yard to see if I could get them a bit cleaner. I got the four quadrants done but decided to wait until later to get the upright circle of brick in the middle of the cross clean.

This afternoon Dianne S. and I went over to southern Indiana to visit a mutual friend of ours and of Carla’s who has been in a care home for the last three years. We had a good time reminiscing about bygone years and talking about what is going on in our lives now. It was a very good visit, and we will keep going to see Connie each month for as long as we can.

Your Essence Is Spirit

I am the Comforter and I greet you in the full consciousness of divine love.

May peace fall like dew upon you this day, no matter what the outer situation. May you experience, and continue to experience, the inner peace which no disaster of humankind can destroy.

Within the Father’s love there is a peace which comes from eternity and which is the vehicle for your own imperishable spirit. Rest quietly in the knowledge of that peace, no matter how quickly you run, no matter how many tangles of human relationships you encounter.

Touch always the peace within, for the Comforter does not fail. It is only those whose hearts are puzzled and befuddled by that which occurs that are not able to hear words of comfort and to feel the presence of that peace which passeth all understanding.

We feel that it would help each if each would think of itself not as one attempting to be a spiritual being but as one who is, in essence, spirit. That being accepted, the point of view may shift so that the spiritual door may be opened to peace more easily and the hubbub and turmoil of a wrangling world may be set off from you by the buffer of comfort, peace and faith.

For we are of the principle of Jesus the Christ. We are of the spirit of living love. And we are eternal, as are you, and exist only to interact with you in positive ways that bring each spirit more and more light and less and less confusion.

“Questioner: Could you first please give me the condition of the instrument?

Ra: I am Ra. The parameters of this instrument are marginal, both physically and mental/emotionally. The vital energy of this entity is biased towards strength/weakness.

Questioner: By “marginal,” do you mean that… Well, let me put it this way. What would the instrument do to make the marginal condition much better?

Ra: I am Ra. The instrument is proceeding through a portion of the incarnational experience during which the potential for mortal distortion of the left renal system is great. Less important, but adding to the marginality of distortion towards viability, are severe allergic reactions and the energizing of this and other distortions towards weakness/strength. The mental/emotional complex is engaged in what may best be termed inappropriate compassion.

Questioner: Would Ra please recommend the steps we should take to alleviate or reverse the conditions of which you just spoke?

Ra: I am Ra. We can do this. The renal distortions are subject to affirmations. The entity, at present, beginning what may be called initiation, is releasing toxins and, therefore, larger amounts of liquid to aid in the dilution of these toxins is helpful. The allergies are already being largely controlled by affirmation and the near-constant aid of the healer known as Bob. Further aid may be achieved by the relocation of dwelling and future vigilance against humidity exceeding the healthful amount in the atmosphere breathed.

The mental/emotional distortions are somewhat less easily lessened. However, the questioner and instrument together shall find it possible to do such a working.”

This was the first session with those of Ra which we held in the house we moved to on Lake Lanier, north of Atlanta. It would also become the last session that we had with Ra. In this first maintenance question Don is told by Ra that Carla’s condition is “marginal,” which suggests to me that Ra felt that she was not in great shape for a Ra session but would be able to function as instrument in an acceptable way. The “marginal” description seemed to extend to both her mental/emotional condition as well as her physical condition. Her vital energy was actually in a good range. In 63.6, Ra defined vital energy:

Questioner: Could you give me a definition of vital energy?

Ra: I am Ra. Vital energy is the complex of energy levels of mind, body, and spirit. Unlike physical energy, it requires the integrated complexes vibrating in an useful manner.

In the second question Don asked Ra what could be done to improve Carla’s marginal condition. Ra said that her left kidney was in bad enough shape that it actually threatened to end her life. Ra also mentioned that Carla was experiencing “severe allergic reactions” and psychic greetings to intensify them, and Ra mentioned that Carla was going through an initiation at this time. In 57.24, Ra gave a basic definition of initiation:

However, you are aware of the concept of initiation and realize that it demands the centering of the being upon the seeking of the Creator. We have hoped to balance this understanding by enunciating the Law of One, that is, that all things are One Creator. Thus seeking the Creator is done not just in meditation and the work of an adept but in the experiential nexus of each moment.

 Ra completed their answer by saying that Carla was engaged in “inappropriate compassion.” In 106.13, Ra gave the details of how this “inappropriate compassion” was manifested by Carla:

Questioner: Could Ra recommend what I should do to improve my state of health?

Ra: I am Ra. We tread most close to the Law of Confusion in this instance but feel the appropriateness of speaking due to potentially fatal results to the instrument. We pause to give the questioner and the scribe a few moments of space/time to aid us by stepping away from those distortions which cause us to invoke the Law of Confusion. This would be helpful.

[A few moments pause.]

I am Ra. We appreciate your attempts. Even confusion on your behalves is helpful. The questioner has, in the recent past, allowed a complete transfer of mental/emotional pain from the questioner to the instrument. The key to this deleterious working was when the instrument said words to the effect of the meaning that it would be the questioner and be the strong one. The questioner could be as the instrument, small and foolish. The questioner, in full ignorance of the firm intent of the instrument and not grasping the possibility of any such energy transfer, agreed.

These two entities have been as one for a timeless period and have manifested this in your space/time. Thusly, the deleterious working occurred. By agreement in care and caution it may be undone. We urge the attention to thanksgiving and harmony on the part of the questioner. We may affirm the previous recommendation in general of the skills and the purity of intention of the one known as Bob, and may note the sympathetic illness which has occurred due to the instrument’s sensitivity.

In the third question Don asked Ra how to reverse or alleviate Carla’s condition, and Ra said that they could do that. But the treatment, in this case, was for Carla to offer positive affirmations of the kidney being able to heal itself. However, Ra also mentioned that there were toxins being released into Carla’s body because she was going through an initiation which was very likely causing a purifying of her mind/body/spirit complex that required her to drink more liquids to flush these toxins from her body much like the situation I faced in 105.4:

Questioner: Could you please tell me what caused Jim’s kidney problem to return, and what could be done to heal it?

Ra: I am Ra. The entity, Jim, determined that it would cleanse itself and thus would spend time/space and space/time in pursuit and contemplation of perfection. The dedication to this working was intensified until the mind/body/spirit complex rang in harmony with this intention. The entity did not grasp the literal way in which metaphysical intentions are translated by the body complex of one working in utter unity of purpose. The entity began the period of prayer, fasting, penitence, and rejoicing. The body complex, which was not yet fully recovered from the nephrotic syndrome, began to systematically cleanse each organ, sending all the detritus that was not perfect through kidneys which were not given enough liquid to dilute the toxins being released. The toxins stayed with the body complex and reactivated a purely physical illness. There is no metaphysical portion in this relapse.

The healing is taking place in manifestation of an affirmation of body complex health which, barring untoward circumstance, shall be completely efficacious.

Ra also said that Carla’s allergies were being controlled by her affirmations and also the “near-constant aid” of the healer known as Bob. Ra ended their answer by saying that it would also be helpful if we relocated our dwelling place and tried to keep the humidity in our new dwelling lower to aid Carla’s health. After living in this house on Lake Lanier for only five months, we were now planning to move back to Louisville because our stay at the Lake Lanier house had been a disaster for Carla’s health. In early December the water pipes in this house froze and broke. The carpets in that part of the house got soaked and soon produced an abundance of mold that Carla was quite allergic to. But our dear friend and healer, Bob I., was working on these allergies around the clock with his Code Name Prayer wheel for the short term healing. For the long-term treatment of Carla’s allergies Ra affirmed our movement to this new dwelling that I still live in, in April of 1984. In 106.18, Ra said that this house would be “well suited” for our purposes:

We may note that, for the purposes you intend, the location, [address redacted], whether humid or arid, is uncharacteristically well-suited. The aggravated present distortions of the instrument having abated due to lack of acute catalyst, the condition of the location about which the assumption was made is extremely beneficial.

This morning my first job was to transplant a Hosta from close to the fish pond into the Hosta patch in the back yard in front of the forsythia hedge. I am hoping the combination of sun and shade will help it to grow better as it didn’t do much growing at all this year next to the fish pond. My next job was to level out a brick on the walkway around the fish pond as it had become a trip hazard. I did the same with three stones in the stone walkway around the Wuthering Heights Mound in the front yard.

This afternoon I went over to Theineman’s Nursery and bought ten chrysanthemums and one bale of pine straw mulch. Then I came back and put the chrysanthemums next to the Hibiscus patch so they might come into full bloom in another week or so. I plan to put them around the Sun Patiens in the Sun Mandala in the back yard where we will pitch our tent for our Homecoming Gathering next week. Then I leveled out three more stones in the stone walkway around the fire pit that were trip hazards. My last job of the day was to spread the bale of pine straw mulch in various places around the cross area that had bare ground showing.

Each Is Your Brother

I am the spirit of the living Christ which speaks to the world this day, greeting you in the full consciousness of divine love.

The many preparatory and studious engagements of those serious, spiritual seekers who labor to learn the love of the Christ are well meant and may yet yield fruit. Yet, paradoxically, it is not the one always who strives the hardest, thinks the most or works more laboriously than others to whom the inspiration, the love, and the clarity of vision that infinite love offers, comes.

Many times it is the one who is unassuming and humble, who accepts the basic unworthiness of free will while recognizing the necessity of it, who may choose and choose and choose again the way of love, the way of the Christ.

Therefore stride self-confidently into the world but be ye humble and not over-assuming, for each entity is likewise the Father within, just as you are. Each is your brother. Each is your sister. None contains that which you do not contain. Sometimes it is possible to try too hard to be loving and blessed, sanctified and giving. Relax into the rhythm of spontaneous service and life shall become merry and light.

Ra: I am Ra. We find the weariness of the group well-balanced by its harmony. That weariness shall continue in any future circumstance during your incarnations. Therefore look you to your love and thanksgiving for each other and join always in fellowship, correcting each broken strand of that affection with patience, comfort, and quietness. We find all meticulously observed in the alignments and give you these words only as reminder. All that can be done for the instrument seems done with an whole heart, and the instrument itself is working in the indigo ray with perseverance.

We have previously mentioned some temporary measures for the instrument. If these are adopted, additional liquids shall be imbibed by the instrument and by the questioner, whose bond with the instrument is such that each difficulty for one is the same in sympathy for the other.

I am Ra. I leave you rejoicing merrily in the love and the light, the power and the peace of the One Infinite Creator. Adonai.”

In the previous session Ra asked for one more full question, and Don asked a question about the veiling process. After giving the answer Ra ended the session without asking for any short query which would have given Don a chance to ask his usual questions about how we could make the instrument more comfortable and was there any way that we could improve the contact with Ra. This was the only time that Ra ever failed to ask for a short query before ending the session. So at the end of this session, when Ra asked for one more full query, Don took this opportunity to ask these maintenance questions because we often got information that was crucial to making Carla more comfortable and indications as to how we could improve the contact with Ra. This was also the last session that we had with Ra in our Louisville home as we were about to move to the Lake Lanier house north of Atlanta.

Then Ra went on to give us a little pep talk because times were hard now especially for Don physically, mentally, and emotionally, and physically for Carla. Even my kidney problem returned for a brief time. Ra recommended that we rejoice in each other’s fellowship and focus on our mutual love and thanksgiving for being able to support each other through these difficult times. Ra remarked that our harmony was a good balance for our weariness, and that harmony was a blessing indeed as it also supported the Ra contact. In 100.15, Ra revealed the value of the harmony in our group:

Questioner: I will save that for next session and I will ask if there is anything we can do to make the instrument more comfortable or improve the contact?

Ra: I am Ra. All is well. The appurtenances are most conscientiously placed. We thank this diligent group. There is much greater distortion towards harmony at this asking and we join you in praise and thanksgiving. This is always the greatest boon to improvement of the contact, for it is the harmony of the group which supports this contact.

I am Ra. I leave you in the love and the light of the One. Go forth, therefore, rejoicing in the power and in the peace of the One Infinite Creator. Adonai.

In 81.2-7, Ra described how this weariness was an inevitable part of the contact with Ra:

Questioner: Is this the reason for the instrument’s feeling of uninterrupted weariness?

Ra: I am Ra. There are portions of your space/time in which this may be said to be symptomatic of the psychic greeting reaction. However, the continual weariness is not due to psychic greeting but is rather an inevitable consequence of this contact.

Questioner: Why is this an inevitable consequence? What is the mechanism of contact creating weariness?

Ra: I am Ra. The mechanism creating weariness is that connection betwixt the density wherein this instrument’s mind/body/spirit complex is safely kept during these workings and the altogether variant density in which the instrument’s physical body complex resides at this space/time. As the instrument takes on more of the coloration of the resting density the third-density experience seems more heavy and wearisome. This was accepted by the instrument, as it desired to be of service. Therefore, we accept also this effect about which nothing of which we are aware may be done.

Questioner: Is the effect a function of the number of sessions, and has it reached a peak level or will it continue to increase in effect?

Ra: I am Ra. This wearying effect will continue but should not be confused with the physical energy levels, having only to do with the, as you would call it, daily round of experience. In this sphere those things which are known already to aid this instrument will continue to be of aid. You will, however, notice the gradual increase in transparency, shall we say, of the vibrations of the instrument.

Questioner: I didn’t understand what you meant by that last statement. Would you explain?

Ra: I am Ra. Weariness of the time/space nature may be seen to be that reaction of transparent or pure vibrations with impure, confused, or opaque environs.

Questioner: Is there any of this effect upon the other two of us in this group?

Ra: I am Ra. This is quite correct.

Questioner: Then we would also experience the uninterrupted wearying effect as a consequence of the contact. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. The instrument, by the very nature of the contact, bears the brunt of this effect. Each of the support group, by offering the love and the light of the One Infinite Creator in unqualified support in these workings and in energy transfers for the purpose of these workings, experiences between 10 and 15 percent, roughly, of this effect. It is cumulative and identical in the continual nature of its manifestation.

Ra further remarked that Carla was working hard on her indigo ray blockage that caused her to feel low self-worth. This work was necessary to remove the painful spasms in her abdomen that had been caused by psychic greetings. In 105.2, Ra spoke about how Carla had been successful in her indigo-ray work as she dealt with Don and finding a house in Atlanta and with our landlord of our Louisville home:

Questioner: Sorry that we have to ask so many maintenance questions. We seem to be in a confused condition now with respect to our abilities to continue in the direction we wish to with questioning on the archetypical mind.

I feel it necessary to ask what the cause of the symmetrical welts on the instrument’s back [is], and is there anything further that we can do to heal the instrument of any conditions, including these welts or their cause?

Ra: I am Ra. The welting is a symptom of that which has been a prolonged psychic greeting. The opportunity for this entity to experience massive allergic reaction from streptococcal and staphylococcal viruses has been offered in hopes that this entity would wish to leave the incarnation. The previous occurrence of this state of the mind complex occurring upon, in your time-numbering system, the ninth month, the twelfth day, of your present planetary solar revolution caught your fifth-density companion unprepared. The entity is now prepared.

There have been two instances wherein this entity could have started the reaction since the first opportunity was missed. Firstly, the opportunity to separate self from other-self in connection with the choosing of an house. Secondly, the possible vision of self separated from other-self in regard to the dissolving of mundane bonds concerning the leaving of this dwelling. Both opportunities were met by this entity with a refusal to separate self from other-self with further work also upon the indigo-ray level concerning the avoidance of martyrdom while maintaining unity in love.

Then Ra made a most unusual statement. We were getting ready to move to the Lake Lanier house north of Atlanta, and Ra had warned that Carla should not help with the packing as she was allergic to dust, mold, mildew, etc. that are part of moving. We were advised to drink extra water to flush any toxins from our bodies. Then Ra said of Don and Carla that their bond was such that “each difficulty for one is the same in sympathy for the other.” They were so much in sync with each other that they even shared their physical, emotional and mental problems. This would later become evident while we were in Georgia when the “deleterious energy exchange” occurred between them. In 106.13, this deleterious energy exchange was possible because of this synchronized nature of Don’s and Carla’s relationship:

Questioner: Could Ra recommend what I should do to improve my state of health?

Ra: I am Ra. We tread most close to the Law of Confusion in this instance but feel the appropriateness of speaking due to potentially fatal results to the instrument. We pause to give the questioner and the scribe a few moments of space/time to aid us by stepping away from those distortions which cause us to invoke the Law of Confusion. This would be helpful.

[A few moments pause.]

I am Ra. We appreciate your attempts. Even [confusion on your behalves is helpful. The questioner has, in the recent past, allowed a complete transfer] of mental/emotional pain from the questioner to the instrument. The key to this deleterious working was when the instrument said words to the effect of the meaning that it would be the questioner and be the strong one. The questioner could be as the instrument, small and foolish. The questioner, in full ignorance of the firm intent of the instrument and not grasping the possibility of any such energy transfer, agreed.

These two entities have been as one for a timeless period and have manifested this in your space/time. Thusly, the deleterious working occurred. By agreement in care and caution it may be undone. We urge the attention to thanksgiving and harmony on the part of the questioner. We may affirm the previous recommendation in general of the skills and the purity of intention of the one known as Bob, and may note the sympathetic illness which has occurred due to the instrument’s sensitivities.

Lastly, we may note that to the one known as Peter several aspects of the distortions experienced by the questioner, the instrument, and the scribe may be quite apparent and rather simply traduced to lesser distortions.

This morning I was on a zoom meet with a couple of long-time friends during which time we studied Session #15 of The Ra Contact. We enjoyed talking over some of the nuances of the concepts that Ra shared in this session, and at the end of the session I also discovered that one of my friends also had an interest in native plants which I am just beginning to discover. At her suggestion I have contacted the Louisville Audubon Society to see if they would come to my house and evaluate what I might do to begin planting native plants and make my yard more supportive of birds through native plants.

This afternoon I used my backpack blower to blow leaves in the front, side, and back yard into piles which I put in garbage cans for yard waste pickup tomorrow. Then I noticed that the fountain on the fish pond was barely shooting out of the water, so I cleaned the filters and discovered that was the problem. My last little job was to use the sprayer on my garden hose to spray clean the stone walkway around the fish pond which had some areas of mud on the stones.

The Deepest Union

I am the spirit of the living God and I greet you in the full consciousness of that love.

It seems, when one hand touches another, when one life touches another, when thoughts commingle in conversation, that there still is a boundary of separation betwixt hand and hand, life and life, thought and thought. Your organs of perception indicate the distance between two energies regardless of how closely they may lie together.

Yet the energy which is the strength of the hand, the power of the life, and the tenor of the thought undergirds, overshadows and unites all things.

If you be confused and lonely this day, turn at once to that contact, that touch, that mutual beholding that is the deepest union between yourself and the spirit and principle of the full consciousness of love, and then see the unity in all things with new eyes.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 105.19-20:

“Questioner: At the end of an incarnation, before veiling, did the entity appear physically to have aged, say like entities at the normal end of incarnation in our present illusion— did they, were they wrinkled and old, did they… Did the Significator look like that?

Ra: I am Ra. The Significator of Mind, Body, or Spirit is a portion of the archetypical mind and looks as each envisions such to appear. The body of a mind/body/spirit before veiling showed all the signs of aging which acquaint you now with the process leading to the removal from third-density incarnation of the mind/body/spirit complex. It is well to recall that the difference betwixt mind/body/spirits and mind/body/spirit complexes is a forgetting within the deeper mind. Physical appearances and surface and instinctual activities are much the same.

Questioner: Then I was wondering the root reason for the change in appearance that we see as the aging process? I am trying to uncover a basic philosophical premise here that I may be shooting in the dark at and not questioning on correctly, but I am trying to get at the reason behind the design of this change in appearance when it seems to me that it was just as possible for the mind/body/spirit or mind/body/spirit complex just to simply look the same throughout an incarnation. Could Ra explain the reason for this change?

Ra: I am Ra. When the discipline of the personality has led the mind/body/spirit complex into the fifth and especially the sixth level of study it is no longer necessary to build destruction of the physical vehicle into its design, for the spirit complex is so experienced as a shuttle that it is aware when the appropriate degree of intensity of learning and increment of lesson has been achieved. Within third density, not to build into the physical vehicle its ending would be counterproductive to the mind/body/spirit complexes therein residing, for within the illusion it seems more lovely to be within the illusion than to drop the garment which has carried the mind/body/spirit complex and move on.”

In the first question Don asked Ra if entities in the pre-veil condition aged the way that we do after the veil. Ra said that this was correct and then reminded us that the veiling condition pertains to a forgetting within the deeper mind. This did not change the nature of the body in appearing older as the incarnations proceeded. However, even though Ra did not say this, I assume the entities before the veil lived longer than we do after the veil. That would be possible because they did not have the catalyst to either efficiently propel them forward in their polarization process nor to wear down their physical vehicles as quickly as we do on this side of the veil. They may well have approached the 900 year span of time that is normal to all beginning third-density experiences. In 22.6, Ra talks about how dealing with a great deal of catalyst does shorten the life span:

Questioner: Would this shortened life span help the entity in any way in that he would have more at times in between incarnations to review his mistakes, or would this shortened life span hinder him?

Ra: I am Ra. Both are correct. The shortening of the life span is a distortion of the Law of One which suggests that an entity not receive more experience in more intensity than it may bear. This is only in effect upon an individual level and does not hold sway over planetary or social complexes.

Thus the shortened life span is due to the necessity for removing an entity from the intensity of experience which ensues when wisdom and love are, having been rejected, reflected back into the consciousness of the Creator without being accepted as part of the self, this then causing the entity to have the need for healing and for much evaluation of the incarnation.

The incorrectness lies in the truth that, given appropriate circumstances, a much longer incarnation in your space/time continuum is very helpful for continuing this intensive work until conclusions have been reached through the catalytic process.

In the second question Don asked Ra why the aging process happens at all since he figured that we could just look the same throughout the incarnation. Basically, Ra’s answer was that if we did not begin to look and feel older we might not be so motivated to attempt to learn and grow in our life experiences because it would seem that we would live forever. Our wrinkles, thinning hair, stiff joints, failing body complexes and forgetful minds are actually incentives to either continue or to begin the polarization process. In 76.20, Ra gives us an example of microscopic creatures who aid us in this leaving of the incarnation:

Questioner: What was the form of disease, and why did this exist at beginning third density?

Ra: I am Ra. Firstly, that which you speak of as disease is a functional portion of the body complex which offers the body complex the opportunity to cease viability. This is a desirable body complex function. The second portion of the answer has to do with second-density other-selves of a microscopic, as you would call it, size which have in some forms long existed and perform their service by aiding the physical body complex in its function of ceasing viability at the appropriate space/time.

This morning I sprayed the Giant Hibiscus with fungicide for the third week in a row. There have been just a few blooms since I started the spraying two weeks ago, and I can see a few more buds here and there. I am just happy that the plants are still alive, and I am hoping that this brown spot fungus doesn’t come back again next year. My other job this morning was taking the tape off the area I painted yesterday where you go down stairs to get into the basement. I cleaned up some areas where paint had spilled, and then I went over to the bird feeder and painted the lattice work under the platform that is beneath the bird feeder.

This afternoon I sprayed all of the flower gardens with deer and rabbit repellant, and then I went around the yard and took pictures of all the flower gardens and texted them to Trish who, I believe, is going to use them either for our website or perhaps in relation to Homecoming next week. My last job of the afternoon was to use my backpack blower and blow all of the leaves in the back yard into a pile and then put them in two garbage cans for yard waste pickup Friday.

Truth Renews The Senses

I am the Holy Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, the principle of unconditional love and the encourager of grace amidst paradox.

I come to this instrument in that glad paradox of eternity and dust which is the spirit in manifestation. The spirit speaks as an echo reverberating that which the heart of man already knows. Where the heart lies open, each moment may disclose a new heaven and a new earth.

See the paradox of your soul’s striving amidst the celebration of perfection which is the essence of the nature of the reality hidden in manifestation. Let the spirit of love conquer the eye that sees the mask of things. Through the spirit apprehend the inner core of perfection in each and every circumstance.

For by this willingness to trust in the spirit of love, by this choosing of a consciousness of love, you may view each desert as a garden and each garden as a desert, gaining for yourself the full picture which the true heart may paint of the paradoxes of divine love.

Release the need to make sense and allow truth to renew your senses.

“Questioner: Now, I would like to, then, examine a sample, shall we say, bodily distortion prior to the veil and how it would affect the mind. Could Ra give an example of that, please?

Ra: I am Ra. This general area has been covered. We shall recapitulate here.

The patterns of illness, disease, and death are a benignant demesne within the plan of incarnational experience. As such, some healing would occur by decision of mind/body/spirits, and incarnations were experienced with the normal ending of illness to death, accepted as such since without the veil it is clear that the mind/body/spirit continues. Thusly, the experiences, both good and bad, or joyful and sad, of the mind/body/spirit before veiling would be pale, without vibrancy or the keen edge of interest that such brings in the post-veiling mind/body/spirit complex.”

Once again Don asks Ra to compare the pre-veil experience with the post-veil experience regarding distortions of the body complex. So Ra chooses the areas of illness, disease, and death, which are primary areas of catalyst for any body. Ra then says that before the veil there would be occasions in which some amount of healing of illness and disease would occur before death provided the body/mind/spirit a way out of the third-density illusion. Before the veil it would not be such a big deal as it is after the veil since before the veil everyone knew, without doubt, that death was simply the ending of one incarnation of learning and the preparation for another incarnation of learning. There would not be much catalyst to process in this case since the death process caused no great disturbance in the mind or spirit. As a result of the small amount of catalyst before the veil there would not be much of an opportunity for entities to polarize their consciousness by processing such a small amount of catalyst. In 82.24, Ra stated this concept in relation to pre-veil entities being unable to polarize their consciousness:

Questioner: We have presently an activity between physical incarnations called healing and review the incarnation. Was anything of this nature occurring prior to the veil between physical incarnations?

Ra: I am Ra. The inchoate structure of this process was always in place, but where there has been no harm there need be no healing. This too may be seen to have been of concern to Logoi which were aware that without the need to understand, understanding would forever be left undone. We ask your forgiveness for the use of this misnomer, but your language has a paucity of sound vibration complexes for this general concept.

However, after the veil there would be a great deal more catalyst provided for both the one experiencing the death and those friends and family members witnessing the death. After the veil it is not at all apparent that any soul would continue to exist after going through death’s door. Most people after the veil would depend heavily on some form of faith that they had developed in whatever religious practices that they had embraced to explain the larger picture of the creation and each person’s place within it. So after the veil there is a much greater amount of catalyst to be processed and, as a result, a greater amount of polarization of consciousness available from the processing of this catalyst. In 82.18, Ra described the opportunities for polarization in both the pre-veil experience and the post-veiling process in this way:

Questioner: Then prior to the forgetting process, there was no concept of anything but service-to-others polarization. What sort of societies and experiences in third density were created and evolved in this condition?

Ra: I am Ra. It is our perception that such conditions created the situation of a most pallid experiential nexus in which lessons were garnered with the relative speed of the turtle to the cheetah.

And in 82.22, Ra gives a more detailed description of why the polarization process was so limited before the veil of forgetting was placed between the conscious and unconscious minds:

Questioner: Then since the only possibility at this particular time, as I see it, was a polarization for service to others, I must assume from what you said that even though all were aware of this service-to-others necessity they were unable to achieve it. What was the configuration of mind of the mind/body/spirit complexes at that time? Were they aware of the necessity for the polarization or unaware of it? And if so, why did they have such a difficult time serving others to the extent necessary for graduation since this was the only polarity possible?

Ra: I am Ra. Consider, if you will, the tendency of those who are divinely happy, as you call this distortion, to have little urge to alter or better their condition. Such is the result of the mind/body/spirit which is not complex. There is the possibility of love of other-selves and service to other-selves, but there is the overwhelming awareness of the Creator in the self. The connection with the Creator is that of the umbilical cord. The security is total. Therefore, no love is terribly important; no pain terribly frightening; no effort, therefore, is made to serve for love or to benefit from fear.

This morning I took some time to answer a few emails that I had received in the past couple of days that were very interesting. Then I ran some errands with my first stop at the Anchorage City Clerk’s office to obtain a permit to display our “Diagonal Parking” sign in my parking area beside the pet cemetery next week when we have our Homecoming Gathering. Then I mailed a card and crystal to my friend who lives in a care home in southern Indiana. My next stop was to pick up a snickerdoodle cake to take to this same friend when I visit her this weekend. My last stop was to pick up a paint roller.

This afternoon I decided to use the paint roller to paint the walls white on the sides of the steps leading into the basement. I taped around the steps to try to keep the paint off of them and finished the painting just as a rain storm began, which dropped another half inch of rain into my gardens.

The Strength Of Acceptance

I am the spirit of Jesus the Christ, the Son of Man. I greet you in the full consciousness of love in manifestation.

We hear the voices of those upon your planet who cry, “Woe! Woe! Dark is the day, and dark is the hour!” The railing against fate and the anger against the Father is most understandable and acceptable.

Yet as the spirit of Jesus Christ is the spirit of power and creation, so those who cry woe and feel powerless must needs call to the Holy Spirit. For within each difficulty, within each pain, there lies a peace, an acceptance. The strength to adopt acceptance and to move in acceptance of limitations and difficulties is at least equal to the strength and power to go forth and do battle in the name of Jesus Christ.

Realize that in the center of your being is the power to accept powerlessness and to accept that which cannot be changed. There is the peace in that acceptance which may open into joy. The cross is for all who seek to know Jesus Christ.
