I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 100.4-.5:

“Questioner: Thank you. I feel obligated to ask the next somewhat transient question because of a request from Colonel Stevens. I also, for my own edification, would like to better understand the effect of the quarantine and First Distortion. Would Ra comment on the purpose of the so-called Pleiades contact in Switzerland with Billy Meier by an entity known as Semjase and others.

Ra: I am Ra. It is not our practice to judge the value of a contact of metaphysical origin. We cannot confirm the contact referred to by the questioner as pure Confederation contact. However, we might suggest that there is some positive material within the recorded transcript of converse during this contact. As we have spoken previously to the various characteristics of so-called mixed contact, we shall not repeat but note that all communication is of the One Infinite Creator in its infinite distortions.

Questioner: Is it all right for Colonel Stevens to receive the information that Ra just gave to us?

Ra: I am Ra. We find this information to be confirmation of already perceived ideas. Therefore, permission is freely given.”

In Don’s 25 years of investigating UFOs he met most of the well-known contactees and investigators. Col. Wendelle Stevens was a friend of Don’s who investigated the Pleiades contact in Switzerland that involved a fellow name Billy Meier who was contacted by an entity named Semjase, which Col. Stevens wrote about. This is a summary of a book, “UFO Contact. . .From the Pleiades,” in which Col. Stevens wrote about this contact:

“A Swiss farmer born in the town of Bulach, Eduard “Billy” Meier’s claimed his first extraterrestrial contacts occurred in 1942 at the age of five with an elderly extraterrestrial human man names Sfath. Contacts with Sfath lasted until 193. From 1943 to 1964, Meier’s contacts continued with an extraterrestrial human woman named Asket. Meier says that after an eleven year break, contacts resumed again with an extraterrestrial human woman names Semjas, the granddaughter of Sfath.

Meir has accumulated a large collection of photographs showing spaceships called beam ships as well as extraterrestrials. Meier’s claims are both believed and disputed by UFO skeptics and enthusiasts. Beginning in 1975, Meier began his official contacts communicating both directly (face-to-face) and by telepathy with a core group of the Pleiadians/Plejaren, or Errans. These visitors hail from the Plejares star system which is beyond the Pleiades and in a dimension that is a fraction of a second in the future from our own. These Plejaren have provided a sampling of evidence, including highly detailed photography, videos, multi-toned sound recording, the temporary use of a weapon which he employed for trial on a nearby tree, and metal alloy samples. Meier claimed these visitors charged him with certain informational and consciousness-raisings tasks.

As he undertook this mission, he met with a great deal of scorn and derision in addition to twenty-one attempts. Some of these were allegedly initiated by hostile extraterrestrial entities and subsequently defeated largely through the intervention of his Plejaren friends. Meier was instructed to transcribe his conversations with various extraterrestrials & his discussions with the Plejarens are wide-ranging, from spirituality to the afterlife, human history, science & astronomical phenomena, environmental dangers, in addition to prophecies of future historic trends & events.”

So Ra responded to Don’s question as to the purpose of this contact by saying that they didn’t wish to judge a contact of a metaphysical origin. However they did say this this was a mixed contact, one which had both positive and negative elements. Oftentimes UFO contactees will have their first contact with UFOs of a positive nature. After some period of time negative entities will be given the opportunity to have an equal chance to pursue such a contact as Ra mentions in 72.7, as a reason why our negative friend of fifth density was able to offer its services to us: 

Our vibratory complex is one-pointed in these workings also, and our will to serve is also of some degree of purity. This has created the attraction of the polar opposite which you experience.

This is apparently a result of the quarantine of Earth which seeks to allow the population of Earth to receive equal amounts of positive and negative information. Any positive information needs to be balanced by the opportunity for negative entities to be heard as well. Negative entities will use trickery to mimic the positive entities that began the contact, so many contacts (perhaps the Pleiadean contact as well) begin with positive entities and then they are replaced by negative entities who claim to be positive but eventually begin giving a negative twist to the beginning positive information. In 67.20, Ra gave the general principle that allows this type of mixed contact to occur:

Questioner: Now, the main point of this line of questioning has to do with the First Distortion and the fact that this window existed. Was this, shall I say, a portion of the random window effect? And are we experiencing the same type of balancing in receiving the offerings of this entity as the planet in general receives because of the window effect?

Ra: I am Ra. This is precisely correct. As the planetary sphere accepts more highly evolved positive entities or groups with information to offer, the same opportunity must be offered to similarly wise negatively oriented entities or groups.

This morning Diana and I vacuumed the house in a very intensive way. We began by rolling up the Oriental rug (12 ft. X 15 ft.) and vacuumed the rug pad underneath it. Then we rolled up the rug pad and vacuumed and dusted the floor underneath it because over the years the little bit of dirt and sand that people track in sinks through the rug and rug pad and gets everything dusty. Then we put the Oriental rug back down level and vacuumed it. After this Diana vacuumed the office, and I vacuumed the kitchen and my bedroom and bathroom. Thanks to Diana everything on the first floor including the rugs, couches, and plants are clean and vibrant.

This afternoon I took Diana to the airport so she could fly back home to Framingham, MA. We had such a good time getting everything in the house clean and ready for Homecoming next month. Now I will be turning my attention back to the yard and garden and next week will focus on getting more flowers transplanted in areas which either the deer have eaten them or they have died out for one reason or another.

The Natural World As Teacher

I am of the principle of love and I greet you in the consciousness of Jesus the Christ.

I, the Comforter, ask you to allow the natural world that lies so close at hand to be your teacher this day. Gaze upon the mighty strength of the shoots of grass which grow in concrete. Look very closely and see the fecundity of the living God expressed in all the tiny insects which scurry across that busy sidewalk seeking sustenance and finding it. Listen to the sounds of the birds which ring out as joyful Psalms to the Creator and feel the wind of creation at your back.

We do not ask you to take these things into your mind and hold them where they will become lifeless and wither in the world of the hypothetical. Remain open, rather, to the revelations of the present moment, for the Creator has infinite lessons to teach to those who have understanding hearts and open ears.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 100.2-.3:

“Questioner: Thank you. The instrument asks if there is some problem with the swirling waters since she feels very dizzy after each application. Could Ra comment on that, please?

Ra: I am Ra. Yes.

Questioner: Would Ra please comment?

Ra: I am Ra. As has been previously noted, the instrument has the propensity for attempting to exceed its limits. If one considers the metaphysical or time/space aspect of an incarnation, this is a fortunate and efficient use of catalyst as the will is constantly being strengthened. And, further, if the limitations are exceeded in the service of others the polarization is also most efficient.

However, we perceive the query to speak to the space/time portion of incarnational experience, and in that framework would again ask the instrument to consider the value of martyrdom. The instrument may examine its range of reactions to the swirling waters. It will discover a correlation between it and other activity.

When the so-called aerobic exercise is pursued, no less than three of your hours, and preferably five of your hours, should pass betwixt it and the swirling waters. When the walking has been accomplished, a period of no less than, we believe, forty of your minutes must needs transpire before the swirling waters, and preferably twice that amount of your space/time.

It is true that some greeting has encouraged the dizziness felt by the instrument. However, its source is largely the determination of the instrument to remain immersed in the swirling waters past the period of space/time it may abide therein without exceeding its physical limits.”

In these questions Don asked Ra why Carla felt dizzy after taking her whirlpool sessions. Ra reminded us that Carla was in the habit of attempting to exceed her limits. She was always trying to do better at whatever she did, and in this instance she was taking the whirlpools in water that was too hot and whirling too fast. Ra also suggested that we take care to be sure that various of Carla’s other exercise routines were spaced enough away from the whirlpool that there would be less chance of the problems with the dizziness factor. In 66.3, Ra also gave the general parameters for exercise and other pertinent practices that they recommended for Carla’s consideration:

Questioner: Can you tell me the most appropriate method for attempting to alleviate the instrument’s physical problems?

Ra: I am Ra. The basic material has been covered before concerning the nurturing of this instrument. We recapitulate: the exercise according to ability, not to exceed appropriate parameters, the nutrition, the social intercourse with companions, the sexual activity in green ray or above and, in general, the sharing of the distortions of this group’s individual experiences in an helpful, loving manner.

These things are being accomplished with what we consider great harmony, given the density in which you dance. The specific attention and activities, with which those with physical-complex distortions may alleviate these distortions, are known to this instrument.

Cara took an hour-long walk through the subdivision across the street from our house five days per week. She walked about 5 miles in that time, and she was hustling every step of the way. She also loved jazzercise classes and would take two or three classes per week. They lasted an hour and she was always in motion in those classes too. In those days, even though she had little physical energy in her body, she was like an athlete in training for competition. She wanted to give her best effort as the instrument, so this translated into what Ra called the tendency of the “martyr,” willing to give her all in being of service to the One Infinite Creator. In 44.1, Ra first mentioned Carla’s tendency towards martyrdom:

We have been surprised that we have been able to maintain contact on a regular basis during this most intense period of negatively influenced interference. Sexual energy transfers have at some workings given this instrument additional vital resources upon which to draw. However, this is not so at this working and, therefore, the will of the instrument drives its bodily complex. This instrument has no judgment about this service. The faculty of will, while recognized as most central and valuable, could in this application cause serious distortion in bodily complex of the instrument.

May we note that martyrdom is not necessarily helpful. We ask this instrument to examine these thoughts, judge, and discriminate the possible truth of them; and if they be deemed true, we suggest this instrument release the power of judgment to the support group whose interests are balanced far more than this instrument’s. Allow decisions to be made without expectation or attachment to the outcome. Our hopes, may we say, for long-term contact through this instrument depend upon its maturing ability to be of service to other-selves by accepting their help and thus remaining a viable instrument.

This morning Diana and I completed the washing of the windows, inside and outside, on the first and second floors of my house. It has been a few years since they were washed, and now they will be ready for our Homecoming in September. Since part of this cleanup involved getting rid of the second refrigerator in the area in back of the kitchen, we also had it hauled away just before lunch. It had been shut off for a couple of years and had black mold growing in it. The three young folks that came to haul it away asked about all of our books and we discovered that not only were they interest in different kinds of books that Diana enjoyed, but they were also interested in reading channelings of spiritual principles. So we gave them our website and a synopsis of the Ra contact that really seemed to excite them. It was a very synchronistic experience.

In the afternoon Diana and I took a speed walk and then began working on getting my huge Arrowhead Vine transferred into the far right corner of the living room. We went to Home Depot to buy a beautiful blue clay pot to turn upside down and set the Arrowhead Vine on. We also bought some tall bamboo stakes that we could use to tie the vines onto so that a pyramid of vines would be attached at the top of the pyramid and then be allowed to overflow back down toward the floor. It is a most inspiring and eye-catching display of this gorgeous plant.

The Spirit Speaks To Each

I am the spirit of Jesus the Christ. I greet each of you in the full consciousness of divine love.

Each morning this instrument requests that she may offer the highest and best contact with us that she may. Then she names those within the meditation circle and holds them up to us.

We find, as we have so often found in those larger realms of which this instrument is not aware, that the spirit of Jesus the Christ speaks not to Christians but to those who love; speaks not to those who call themselves this or that kind of Christian but to those who act in a Christ-like manner whenever possible.

And we speak to those who may feel that they are lost from the love of Jesus the Christ. We say that the spirit speaks to each of you in a language that each understands, with comfort, strength and love.

For the principle of Jesus the Christ is the principle of divine love, a fiery and creative principle that makes things happen, that renews minds, souls and hearts and gives them strength for service. The spirit of the full consciousness of love lies upon and is available to each who may request it.

There is peace. There is the water of peacefulness. There is the realization of the reason for that ineffable and unworldly peace. These things the spirit leaves within you to ponder in your heart.

We leave you in the love, the joy and, above all, the peace that endures from everlasting to everlasting. Amen.

“Questioner: Thank you. In closing I will just ask if there is anything that we can do to make the instrument more comfortable or improve the contact?

Ra: I am Ra. We note the relative discomfort of this group at this space/time and offer those previous statements made by Ra as possible aids to the regaining of the extraordinary harmony which this group has the capability of experiencing in a stable manner.

We find the addition of the swirling waters to be helpful. The appurtenances are conscientiously aligned.

We encourage the conscious strengthening of those invisible ribands which fly from the wrists of those who go forward to seek what you may call the Grail. All is well, my friends. We leave you in hopes that each may find true colors to fly in that great metaphysical quest and urge each to urge each other in love, praise, and thanksgiving.

I am Ra. We leave you in the love and light of the One Infinite Creator. Go forth rejoicing in the power and in the peace of the One Glorious Infinite Creator. Adonai.”

At this point in the Ra contact we were truly experiencing “relative discomfort.” Carla was attempting to get over the congestion in her throat that was caused by a rare blue-ray blockage she experienced related to the house in Atlanta that we planned to move to as Ra referred to in 96.22:

This entity has an habitual attitude which is singular; that is, when there is some necessity for action the entity is accustomed to analyzing the catalyst in terms of service and determining a course. There was a most unusual variation in this configuration of attitude when this instrument beheld the dwelling which is to be inhabited by this group.

The instrument perceived those elementals and beings of astral character of which we have spoken. The instrument desired to be of service by achieving the domicile in question but found its instincts reacting to the unwelcome presences. The division of mind configuration was increased by the continuing catalyst of lack of control. Had this entity been able to physically begin cleansing the dwelling, the, shall we say, opening would not have occurred.

Although this entity attempted clear communication upon this matter, and although each in the support group did likewise, the amount of blue-ray work necessary to uncover and grasp the nature of the catalyst was not effected. Therefore, there was an opening quite rare for this mind/body/spirit complex, and into this opening the one which greets you moved and performed what may be considered to be the most potent of its purely magical manifestations to this present nexus, as you know time.

 I was experiencing frustration and fatigue because I was not exercising my quality of power in my life by undertaking daily physical work as Ra mentioned in 99.5:

Questioner: Finally, of the preliminary questions, one from Jim stating: “For the last three weeks I have often been at the edge of anger and frustration, have had a nearly constant dull pain at my indigo-ray center, and have felt quite drained of energy. Would Ra comment on the source of these experiences and any thoughts or actions that might alleviate it?”

Ra: I am Ra. As in all distortions, the source is the limit of the viewpoint. We may, without serious infringement, suggest three courses of behavior which shall operate upon the distortion expressed.

Firstly, it would be well for the scribe to engage, if not daily then as nearly so as possible, in a solitary strenuous activity which brings this entity to the true physical weariness. Further, although any activity may suffice, an activity chosen for its intended service to the harmony of the group would be quite efficacious.

The second activity is some of your space/time and time/space taken by the entity, directly or as nearly so as possible to the strenuous activity, for solitary contemplation.

Thirdly, the enthusiastic pursuit of the balancing and silent meditations cannot be deleted from the list of helpful activities for this entity.

We may note that the great forte of the scribe is summed in the inadequate sound vibration complex, power. The flow of power, just as the flow of love or wisdom, is enabled not by the chary conserver of its use, but by the constant user. The physical manifestation of power being either constructive or destructive strenuous activity, the power-filled entity must needs exercise that manifestation.

This entity experiences a distortion in the direction of an excess of stored energy. It is well to know the self and to guard and use those attributes which the self has provided for its learning and its service.

And Don was confused as to the meaning of the hawk that landed outside of our door after we returned from looking at the house in Atlanta as Ra said in 96.11-.13:

Questioner: Sorry to ask the unimportant question. I was thinking of the future readers, and that they would be totally mystified as to how much . . .

Was there a significance with respect to the hawk that landed the other day just outside of the kitchen window?

Ra: I am Ra. This is correct. We may note that we find it interesting that queries offered to us are often already known. We assume that our confirmation is appreciated.

Questioner: This seems to be connected with the concept of the birds being messengers in the tarot, and this is a demonstration of this concept in the tarot, and I was wondering about the mechanics, you might say, of this type of a message. I assume the hawk was a messenger. And I assume that as I thought of the possible meaning of this with respect to our activities I was, in the state of free will, getting a message through the appearance of this very unusual bird—unusual, I say, in that it came so close. I would be very interested to know the origin of the message. (Of course, the origin is the One Creator.) The mechanics of this are very mystifying to me. Would Ra comment on this, please?

Ra: I am Ra. No.

Questioner: I was afraid that you would say that. Am I correct in assuming that this is the same type of communication as depicted in Card Number Three in the Catalyst of the Mind?

Ra: I am Ra. We may not comment due to the Law of Confusion. There is an acceptable degree of confirmation of items known, but when the recognized subjective sigil is waived and the message not clear, then it is that we must remain silent.

So Ra recommended reviewing the statements concerning regaining our normal harmony that they had made in previous sessions such as 96.22:

Continue in harmony, communication, praise, and thanksgiving.

And in 91.38:

Each is most conscientious. The instrument might be somewhat more comfortable with the addition of the swirling of the waters with spine erect. All other things which can be performed for the instrument’s benefit are most diligently done.

We commend the continual fidelity of the group to the ideals of harmony and thanksgiving. This shall be your great protection. All is well, my friends. The appurtenances and alignments are excellent.”

We finally got a whirlpool tub so that Carla could get some relief from the arthritis which constantly produced great amounts of pain throughout her body. She was so buoyant that we had to put weights around her waist to keep her from floating around in the whirlpool. Lastly, Ra gave us an inspired ending to the session by referring to an archaic word, “ribband,” which simply means ribbon. They suggested that such ribbons were attached to the wrists of those who seek enlightenment. They urged us on in this great spiritual quest and recommended that we consciously support and encourage each other in love, praise, and thanksgiving.

This morning Diana and I got most of the windows washed inside and outside on the first floor of my house. The windows in the living room were painted shut by the fellow who remodeled the living room about 30 years ago, and since there are storm windows on the outside we couldn’t get that part of the windows clean. Fortunately, that inner part of the windows wasn’t too dirty. 

This afternoon we discovered that the second refrigerator in the area behind the kitchen, which has been disconnected for a while, has begun growing black mold. We called a company to come pick it up tomorrow and we began to clean and prune the house plants that were growing in that area so that they are ever so much healthier now. We will probably move the very large Goosefoot vine into the far corner of the living room after we buy another pot to invert to sit the vine upon. Then we took a speed walk of about two miles and decided to call it a good day’s work.

The Languages Of Love

I am of that principle of love which has been embodied forth in full manifestation in Jesus the Christ. I greet you in that love and in the living waters of its manifestation even unto this day, this hour and this minute.

This instrument has wondered why we speak both as “I” and as “we.” We are all one principle, yet each seeking entity has its own perceptions of pain and comfort and so to one we shall appear upon one vibration and to another, another, just as your languages differ. Yet all may be used by the spirit to speak words of peace, comfort and transformation.

There is no circumstance, no personality, no mind or spirit or emotion which can keep one who seeks from the fire of love: love that may transform, love that may enable the love that lies within you, each of you.

Know that there is nothing that may keep you from the principle of love.

Know that comfort comes to you as you, in your unique way, ask for it, seek it and are able to hear it.

“Questioner: In that case I will just ask one additional short question as we terminate for this session. May I ask if the Logos of this system planned for the mating process as possibly depicted in Card Six—I don’t know if this is related—by some type of DNA imprinting as has been studied by our science? Many second-density creatures seem to have some sort of imprinting that creates a lifetime mating relationship, and I was wondering if this was designed by the Logos for that particular mechanism, and if it was also carried into third density?

Ra: I am Ra. There are some of your second-density fauna which have instinctually imprinted monogamous mating processes. The third-density physical vehicle which is the basic incarnational tool of manifestation upon your planet arose from entities thusly imprinted, all the aforesaid being designed by the Logos.

The free will of third-density entities is far stronger than the rather mild carryover from second-density DNA encoding, and it is not part of the conscious nature of many of your mind/body/spirit complexes to be monogamous due to the exercise of free will. However, as has been noted there are many signposts in the deep mind indicating to the alert adept the more efficient use of catalyst. As we have said, the Logos of your peoples has a bias towards kindness.”

In this question Don asked Ra if the mating process that was depicted in Card Six, The Transformation of the Mind, was programmed by the Logos as our science has affirmed by DNA imprinting. Don further asked if this lifetime mating process had been carried into the third density.

Ra confirmed that some second-density animals have instinctually imprinted the monogamous mating processes, and they gave the example of the ape that is our ancestor is an example of this monogamous imprinting. However, Ra also said that the free of our third-density entities is much stronger than the “mild carryover from second-density DNA encoding” Ra went on to say that this DNA encoding is not reflected by many of our third-density people because each has free will to decide that for themselves. Ra completed their answer that our Logos also has implanted signposts in the deep mind of third-density beings that alert the adept to the more efficient use of catalyst, which refers to the monogamous relationship. This is apparently due, once again to the bias of our Logos towards kindness. In 90.21, Ra first mentioned this bias of our Logos towards kindness in the making it apparent that the service-to-others path was the more efficient path:

Questioner: Then what you are saying is that once the path is recognized, either the positive or the negative polarized entity can find hints along his path as to the efficiency of that path. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. That which you say is correct upon its own merits but is not a repetition of our statement. Our suggestion was that within the experiential nexus of each entity, within its second-density environment and within the roots of mind, there were placed biases indicating to the watchful eye the more efficient of the two paths. Let us say, for want of a more precise adjective, that this Logos has a bias towards kindness.

So in their answer to the efficiency of the monogamous mated relationship Ra is saying that the adept, one who wishes to progress beyond the unconditional love of the heart chakra, will be made aware of how being monogamous will aid the spiritual journey of returning into unity with the one Creator. I believe that the advantages of the monogamous mated relationship are obvious to anyone who has been on the path of the seeker of truth with one mate for many years. Being able to support each other over a lifetime in the many surprises and challenges of being a seeker of truth is invaluable. Sometimes the lone seeker, or the seeker with various mates during the lifetime, can become tired, overburdened with other concerns, discouraged with the apparent lack of progress, and it is here, especially, where the mate can bolster the flagging confidence and encourage the weary heart. In 84.22, Ra confirmed the greater efficiency of the monogamous mated relationship in the polarization of consciousness:

Questioner: Before the veil, were there— Let me put it this way: Did the Logos, or did most Logoi plan before the veil to create a system of random sexual activity, or specific pairing of entities for periods of time, or did they have an objective in this respect?

Ra: I am Ra. This shall be the last full query of this working.

The harvest from the previous creation was that which included the male and female mind/body/spirit. It was the intention of the original Logoi that entities mate with one another in any fashion which caused a greater polarization. It was determined, after observation of the process of many Logoi, that polarization increased manyfold if the mating were not indiscriminate. Consequent Logoi thusly preserved a bias towards the mated relationship which is more characteristic of more disciplined personalities and of what you may call higher densities. The free will of each entity, however, was always paramount, and a bias only could be offered.

This morning I cleaned the inside of the windows in the kitchen and the area behind the kitchen with a wall of windows and plants in front of them on large shelves which had to be moved out of the way so I could get to the windows. This is probably the hardest section of windows in the house to clean.

This afternoon I picked Diana up at the airport and we went to Whole Foods to get some food for her to eat while she stays here for three days to help me clean the rest of the windows in the house in preparation for our Homecoming Gathering this September. I took her on a tour of my gardens, and then we took a speed walk of about two miles, a little more than usual for me.

Cast Thy Burden Upon The Lord

I am of the principle of Jesus the Christ. I greet you in the full consciousness of love: that love which shines from the beginning of space and time; that love which created all that there is; that love which sustains you at this moment.

We find this instrument most perturbed, for it is in pain and has been so for many months. It did not expect this ordeal and can no longer emotionally refrain from a lack of cheerfulness. Bluntly has she asked, “What has the Holy Spirit to say to one such as I?”

And to this one, and to any who suffer, we can only repeat the words, “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain you.”

To cast one’s burdens upon one’s family and friends is to find no more certainty of love and understanding than you find within the self. Thus the suffering will be aggravated by the guilt of complaint.

Yet the spirit of love only embraces the complaints and the sufferings of those who love and are loved by Him. And thus each complaint is blessed and the suffering, quieted. Turn not to man but to the consciousness of love for that peace which passeth all understanding.

Now, always, in times of need and evermore, we leave you in this peace. Amen.

“Questioner: In the previous session you mentioned the use of the forty-five minute interval of the tape recorder as a signal for ending the session. Is this still the appropriate time?

Ra: I am Ra. This is, of course, at the discretion of the questioner, for this instrument has some transferred energy and remains open, as it has unfailingly done. However, the fragility of the instrument has been more and more appreciated by us. We, in the initial observations, saw the strength of will and overestimated greatly the recuperative abilities of the physical complex of this entity.

Therefore, we may say that ending a working at approximately this amount of energy expenditure—that is, some point soon following upon the sound vibration of which you speak—would be appropriate; and insofar as we may determine, may well extend the incarnational amount of your space/time which this instrument shall be able to offer to this contact.”

It was in the last session, in 98.15, that Ra first suggested we could bring our sessions to an end after the first side of our cassette was complete:

At this time we would break our routine by making an observation. We observe the following coincidence:

Firstly, the congestion of this instrument’s throat due to the flow of mucus caused by energized allergic reaction has, at this point, become such that we may safely predict the probability/possibility vortex approaching certainty that within one-half of an hour we shall need to depart from this working.

Secondly, as we noted the above, the sound vibration made by one of your sound vibration recording devices was audible to us. If this group desires it may choose to have sessions which are brought to an ending soon after this sound vibration occurs. This decision would ensure the minimal distortions within the instrument towards the discomfort/comfort within the throat until the effects of the magical working of your fifth-density companion have been removed.

Carla was suffering congestion in her throat due to an unusual blue-ray blockage when she was unable to fully explain why she felt repulsed by the dirty carpets in the house that we were hoping to move to in Atlanta. Our friend of negative polarity used this congestion to cause mucous to flow down Carla’s throat at some point in the next few sessions with Ra. When this flow became too great Ra felt that it was wise to discontinue the contact because the mucous would make it difficult for Carla to breathe. In 96.2, Ra described how the psychic greeting was accomplished:

The instrument perceived those elementals and beings of astral character of which we have spoken. The instrument desired to be of service by achieving the domicile in question but found its instincts reacting to the unwelcome presences. The division of mind configuration was increased by the continuing catalyst of lack of control. Had this entity been able to physically begin cleansing the dwelling, the, shall we say, opening would not have occurred.

Although this entity attempted clear communication upon this matter, and although each in the support group did likewise, the amount of blue-ray work necessary to uncover and grasp the nature of the catalyst was not effected. Therefore, there was an opening quite rare for this mind/body/spirit complex, and into this opening the one which greets you moved and performed what may be considered to be the most potent of its purely magical manifestations to this present nexus, as you know time.

It is well that this instrument is not distorted towards what you may call hysteria, for the potential of this working was such that had the instrument allowed fear to become greater than the will to persevere when it could not breathe, each attempt at respiration would have been even more nearly impossible until the suffocation occurred, which was desired by the one which greets you in its own way. Thus the entity would have passed from this incarnation.

Ra also made an interesting statement that as the sessions progressed they had become more aware of Carla’s fragility, which was due to her pre-incarnative choice of arthritis to focus her attention on her inner seeking rather than dissipate her energies in the outer world. Initially Ra had observed Carla’s very strong will and had assumed that she would be able to use her will to recover more easily from any fragility or indisposition. In 70.4, Ra descried Carla’s will:

This instrument guards its vital energy due to previous errors upon its part. Its subconscious will, which is preternaturally strong for this density, has put a ward upon this energy complex. Thus the Orion visitor strives with more and more intensity to disturb this vital energy as this group intensifies its dedication to service through enlightenment.

This morning I completed work on Chapter 4 of Living the Law of One 103: The Inner Work. I was glad to be able to share some of my personal experiences on the section regarding meditation and prayer. This afternoon I began work on Chapter 5, and after the first run through I wasn’t able to find any areas that needed enhancing and none that I could find personal experiences to use to make the work better.

Be The Quiet Heart

We see here before us a heart which is unquiet and a will which allows much lack of discipline in the meditation. Why is your heart unquiet? What causes this disturbance? What war rages near your door?

We see none. Love sees none. But if the human heart cannot be disciplined, it will be unquiet.

What must you say to your brother? Think you that any words can completely satisfy? Nay, rather you must be to your brother the quiet heart that you must be to yourself. This day finds more and more this need, for it is disquieted within.

“Questioner: Thank you. Card Number Six I see as the Transformation of the Mind; the male’s crossed arms representing transformation, transformation being possible either toward the left- or the right-hand path; the path being beckoned or led by the female, the Potentiator.

The one on the right having the serpent of wisdom at the brow and being fully clothed; the one on the left having less clothing and indicating that the Matrix or Potentiator would be more concerned and attracted to the physical illusion as the left-hand path is chosen, and more concerned and attracted to the mental as the right-hand path is chosen.

The creature above points an arrow at the left-hand path indicating that if this path is chosen, the chips, shall we say, will fall where they may—the path being unprotected as far as the random activity of catalyst. And the intellectual abilities of the chooser of that path would be the main guardian rather than a designed or built-in protection by the Logos for the right-hand path.

The entity firing the arrow, being what seems to be a second density entity, would indicate that this catalyst could be produced by a lesser-evolved source, you might say.

Would Ra comment on these observations of Card Six, the Transformation of the Mind?

Ra: I am Ra. We shall speak upon several aspects seriatim. Firstly, let us examine the crossed arms of the male who is to be transformed. What, O student, do you make of the crossing? What see you in this tangle? There is a creative point to be found in this element which was not discussed overmuch by the questioner.

Let us now observe the evaluation of the two females. The observation that to the left-hand path moves the roughly physical and to the right-hand path the mental has a shallow correctness. There are deeper observations to be made concerning the relationship of the great sea of the unconscious mind to the conscious mind which may fruitfully be pursued. Remember, O student, that these images are not literal. They haunt rather than explicate.

Many use the trunk and roots of mind as if that portion of mind were a badly used, prostituted entity. Then this entity gains from this great storehouse that which is rough, prostituted, and without great virtue. Those who turn to the deep mind seeing it in the guise of the maiden go forth to court it. The courtship has nothing of plunder in its semblance and may be protracted, yet the treasure gained by such careful courtship is great. The right-hand and left-hand transformations of the mind may be seen to differ by the attitude of the conscious mind towards its own resources as well as the resources of other-selves.

We now speak of that genie, or elemental, or mythic figure, culturally determined, which sends the arrow to the left-hand transformation. This arrow is not the arrow which kills but, rather, that which, in its own way, protects. Those who choose separation, that being the quality most indicative of the left-hand path, are protected from other-selves by a strength and sharpness equivalent to the degree of transformation which the mind has experienced in the negative sense.

Those upon the right-hand path have no such protection against other-selves, for upon that path the doughty seeker shall find many mirrors for reflection in each other-self it encounters.”

I’ll take Don’s questions one at a time. First, Don wants to know if the two females represent the positive (fully clothed female) and negative (partially clothed female) paths. Ra concedes a shallow correctness but reminds us that these images haunt rather than give clear perceptions. So Ra advises more consideration be given to the relationship of the conscious to the subconscious mind. How would a positive or negative entity look at its subconscious mind? Ra also says that we should ponder the reason for the male’s arms being crossed which seems to be connected to the possibility of transformation for the conscious mind according to which path is chosen. In78.37, Ra gives the basic relationship between the conscious and unconscious minds:

The broad name for Archetype Four may be the Experience of the Mind. In the tarot you find the name of Emperor. Again this implies nobility, and in this case we may see the suggestion that it is only through the catalyst which has been processed by the potentiated consciousness that experience may ensue. Thusly is the conscious mind ennobled by the use of the vast resources of the unconscious mind.

Then Ra went into greater detail concerning the two females in the image of the Transformation of the Mind. The partially clothed female represents how the conscious mind can look at its own unconscious mind as if it were a prostitute and decide to plunder what it can get from this mysterious part of its mind. In 100.6, Ra describes how the transformation of the mind occurs:

The concept of the pull towards mental polarity may well be examined in the light of what the student has already accreted concerning the nature of the conscious, exemplified by the male, and the unconscious, exemplified by the female. Indeed, both the prostituted and the virginal of deep mind invite and await the reaching.

In this image of Transformation of Mind, then, each of the females points the way it would go but is not able to move; nor are the two female entities striving to do so. They are at rest.

The conscious entity holds both and will turn itself one way or the other, or potentially backwards and forwards, rocking first one way, then the other, and not achieving the Transformation. In order for the Transformation of Mind to occur, one principle governing the use of the deep mind must be abandoned.

It is to be noted that the triangular shape formed by the shoulders and crossed elbows of consciousness is a shape to be associated with transformation. Indeed, you may see this shape echoed twice more in the image, each echo having its own riches to add to the impact of this complex of concepts.

Ra also suggested that the subconscious mind may be truly valued by the seeker and seen as a fair maiden that is to be courted with patience and tenderness. The positive seeker is gentle but persistent and gains great treasures that illustrate the bounty of love in the universe and within the self that may be shared with others. In 93.20, Ra illustrates how the subconscious mind is valuable to the seeker of truth:

Questioner: I was just wondering if the transparency of the garment on the third card indicates the semi-permeable nature of the veil between conscious and subconscious?

Ra: I am Ra. This is a thoughtful perception and cannot be said to be incorrect. However, the intended suggestion, in general, is an echo of our earlier suggestion that the nature of catalyst is that of the unconscious; that is, outward catalyst comes through the veil.

All that you perceive seems to be consciously perceived. This is not the correct supposition. All that you perceive is perceived as catalyst unconsciously. By the, shall we say, time that the mind begins its appreciation of catalyst, that catalyst has been filtered through the veil, and in some cases much is veiled in the most apparently clear perception.

Then Don asks if the entity in the top left of the card is an animal that suggests catalyst can come from the animal world and if it makes the left-hand path more difficult since it seems to be shooting its arrow in that direction. Ra said that this figure is from Egyptian mythology and actually protects the left-hand seeker according to how powerfully polarized the negative adept is. But the seeker on the right-hand path has no such protection. Rather, the positive adept can see its catalyst reflected back to it in every other self that it encounters and I believe we all can learn from this reflection that there is no true separation between us. In 100.9, Ra confirms that there is no true separation for the right-hand path:

Questioner: It would also seem to me that since Ra stated in the last session the limit of the viewpoint is the source of all distortions, that the very nature of the service-to-self distortions that create the left-hand path are a function of the veil and, therefore, are dependent, you might say, to some degree on at least a partial continued veiling. Does this make any sense?

Ra: I am Ra. There is the thread of logic in what you suppose.

The polarities are both dependent upon a limited viewpoint. However, the negative polarity depends more heavily upon the illusory separation betwixt the self and all other mind/body/spirit complexes. The positive polarity attempts to see through the illusion to the Creator in each mind/body/spirit complex, but for the greater part is concerned with behaviors and thoughts directed towards other-selves in order to be of service.

This attitude in itself is full of the stuff of your third-density illusion.

This morning I went outside and used my trimmer to weed the Moss Garden as there was rain forecast for the afternoon. I am trying to get all of my outside work done by Wednesday when a friend from Massachusetts will be visiting me for a few days to help me get the windows in the house cleaned in preparation for Homecoming this September.

This afternoon I spent most of my time working on adding more thoughts and personal experiences to Living the Law of One 103: the Inner Work. I am presently in the middle of Chapter 3 which primarily deals with meditation, its purpose and ways of practice.

Tabernacle Consciousness

I am of the principle of Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of love.

As you sit in meditation, you dwell within a tabernacle in intimate conversation with the Creator.

Sit upon the mercy seat now and feel the waves of forgiveness.

Stand within the holy of holies. Feel and absorb the light and the peace of that which is the highest and best you can imagine and know.

Allow the strength of the tabernacle of the Creator to enter into your being, to give you solace and comfort but also to give you strength.

For each of you with tabernacle consciousness is the city upon the hill. And the windows of your eyes may shine light of a blessed nature through your consciousness and into the world about you. Again and again during your day, return for a moment to the tabernacle. Sit quietly in that inner room and be refreshed.

“Questioner: The only problem is something that I am sure is quite foreign to Ra’s way of thinking which is called “copyright laws.” We have been unable to get copyright privileges from the publishers of the cards that we started with, and we’ll have to circumnavigate that problem some way or another, which could conceivably cause us to use a different set of images as we go along.

The wings of Card Five, I am guessing, have to do with a protection over the—they’re above the Significator of the Mind, and I am guessing they are a symbol of protection. Is this in any way correct?

Ra: I am Ra. Let us say that you are not incorrect but rather less than correct. The Significator owns a covenant with the spirit which it shall, in some cases, manifest through the thought and action of the adept. If there is protection in a promise, then you have chosen the correct sound vibration, for the outstretched wings of spirit, high above manifestation, yet draw the caged mind onward.”

Don begins this question with a response to Ra’s suggestion in the previous question and answer that it would be best to stay with the C.C. Zain tarot deck as we query Ra concerning the meaning of the tarot images. He realizes that copyright laws have no real metaphysical meaning. Then Don asked Ra if the outstretched wings at the top of the Significator of the Mind symbolize a protection. Ra replied that the Significator owns a covenant with the spirit which “it shall in some cases manifest trough the thought and action of the adept.” Ra said that this covenant and the wings “draws the caged mind onward” and could be seen as a certain kind of protection. In 32.1, Ra said that Carla had been able to invoke protection against any negative entities during her LSD experience that I would say was the equivalent of the action of the adept that Ra spoke of:

Secondly, the means of protection against any negative, or debilitating, influence for those upon the positive path was demonstrated by this instrument to a very great degree. Consider, if you will, the potentials that this particular occurrence had for negative influences to enter the instrument. This instrument thought upon the Creator in its solitude, and in actions with other-self continually praised and gave thanksgiving to the Creator for the experiences it was having.

This, in turn, allowed this particular entity to radiate to the other-self such energies as became a catalyst for an opening and strengthening of the other-self’s ability to function in a more positively polarized state. Thus we see protection being very simple. Give thanksgiving for each moment. See the self and the other-self as Creator. Open the heart. Always know the light and praise it. This is all the protection necessary.

And in 33.2, Ra gave the qualities that we could utilize the protect and maintain our contact with them:

Questioner: Can you give us advice on how to maintain the best possible condition for maintaining contact?

Ra: I am Ra. We have given information concerning the proper nurturing of this channel. We, therefore, repeat ourselves only in two ways in general.

Firstly, we suggest that rather than being, shall we say, brave and ignoring a physical-complex-weakness distortion, it is good to share this distortion with the group and thus, perhaps, shall we say, remove one opportunity for contact which is very wearying to the instrument in order that another opportunity might come about in which the instrument is properly supported.

Secondly, the work begun in harmony may continue. Harmony, thanksgiving, and praise of opportunities and of the Creator: these are your protection. These are our suggestions. We cannot be specific, for your free will is of the essence in this contact. As we said, we only speak to this subject because of our grasp of your orientation towards long-term maintenance of this contact. This is acceptable to us.

Today was another Sabbath Day of Rest. I spent more time this morning working on improving 103. I also did some laundry for the cats upstairs as some of their bedspreads and cat beds had gotten dirty over time. At lunch I took my usual errand run and made my first stop at Walmart to buy some Garden Safe Spray for my hibiscus and some deer and rabbit repellent for the rest of the flower gardens. Then I bought some cat food at Feeder’s Supply. Then I made stops at Kroger’s and Pauls’ Fruit Market to buy food for myself. My last stop was at Walgreen’s to buy ice cream and paper plates.

The Comfort Of Abiding Love

I am of the principle of that love which brought forth all that is and I greet you in the full consciousness of love.

This living love is like a flame that rests upon your house and within your heart. Looked for, it may not be seen, yet the patient seeker will soon find the outpouring of spirit reflected in the world once it has been sought with a whole heart, for there is nothing which may not be mended, healed and comforted.

Seek within your heart this day to know that comfort of abiding love. Trust the feeling of wholeness and gaze upon the world with new eyes, eyes of completeness, in joy.

“Questioner: We now have an additional set of tarot images. We will refer to them as the Royal Road images, since that’s the name of the book they came from. They are similar to, but in some instances different from, the C.C. Zain images. Which of these two sets are closer to Ra’s original intention? And if they are mixed, let me know that.

Ra: I am Ra. The principle which moves in accordance with the dynamics of teach/learning with most efficiency is constancy. We could explore the archetypical mind using that set of images produced by the one known as Fathman, or we could use those which have been used.

In point of fact, those which are being used have some subtleties which enrich the questioning. As we have said, this set of images is not that which we gave. This is not material. We could use any of a multitude of devised tarot sets. Although this must be at the discretion of the questioner, we suggest the maintaining of one and only one set of distorted images to be used for the querying and note that the images you now use are good.”

We weren’t able to get permission from the Church of Light to publish their tarot images that were drawn by C.C. Zain and which were the images that we had used to question Ra about the tarot and the archetypical mind. So while Carla and I were in Washington, D.C. on other business in 1982, I went to the Library of Congress and found the book, The Royal Road, by George Fathman, which was published in 1951 and which had its own images of the tarot that were similar to the C.C. Zain deck. Since they were that old, they were in the public domain which meant that we were free to use them without having to get anyone’s permission. We asked Ra if we could use this deck of images in questioning them about the tarot. Ra said that they could use any of a number of tarot decks, but the best idea would be to stay with one deck all the way through our questioning and that the deck we were using was good.

So we continued to question with the C.C. Zain deck in questioning Ra about the archetypical mind. As we questioned Ra in detail about the various portions of each image of the mind archetypes, we discovered that some of them were astrological in origin which Ra considered distortions of their original tarot. In 88.23, Ra went into some detail to reveal how the astrological portions of the Major Arcana of the tarot came to be included with their creation of the tarot and how they felt these astrological images were not appropriate:

Questioner: You mentioned earlier that the tarot was a method of divination. Would you explain that?

Ra: I am Ra. We must first divorce the tarot as a method of divination from this Major Arcana as representative of twenty-two archetypes of the archetypical mind.

The value of that which you call astrology is significant when used by those initiated entities which understand, if you will pardon the misnomer, the sometimes intricate considerations of the Law of Confusion. As each planetary influence enters the energy web of your sphere, those upon the sphere are moved much as the moon which moves about your sphere moves the waters upon your deeps.

Your own nature is water in that you as mind/body/spirit complexes are easily impressed and moved. Indeed, this is the very fiber and nature of your journey and vigil in this density: to not only be moved but to instruct yourself as to the preferred manner of your movement in mind, body, and spirit.

Therefore, as each entity enters the planetary energy web each entity experiences two major planetary influxes: that of the conception—which has to do with the physical, yellow-ray manifestation of the incarnation—and that of the moment you call birth when the breath is first drawn into the body complex of chemical yellow ray.

Thus those who know the stars and their configurations and influences are able to see a rather broadly drawn map of the country through which an entity has traveled, is traveling, or may be expected to travel, be it upon the physical, the mental, or the spiritual level. Such an entity will have developed abilities of the initiate which are normally known among your peoples as psychic or paranormal.

When the archetypes are shuffled into the mix of astrologically oriented cards which form the so-called Court Arcana and Minor Arcana, these archetypes become magnetized to the psychic impressions of the one working with the cards, and thusly become instruments of a linkage between the practitioner of the astrological determinations and divinations and the one requesting information.

Oft times such archetypical representations will appear in such a manner as to have seemingly interesting results, meaningful in configuration to the questioner. In and of themselves the Major Arcana have no rightful place in divination, but rather are tools for the further knowledge of the self by the self for the purpose of entering a more profoundly, acutely realized present moment.

In order to have a more accurate tarot deck we removed all of the astrological facets of each card, and had the first seven archetypes of the mind re-drawn by a good friend in Atlanta. We were able to put these images in Book Four of The Law of One.

It seems that over the years the Church of Light that was originally located in Los Angeles, California moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico. In 2009 they redrew the tarot deck created by C.C. Zain in 1937 and colored all of the cards so that their current deck is quite different from the original deck that we questioned Ra about. They now call this deck the Brotherhood of Light Egyptian Tarot. In fact, you cannot find that original deck anywhere now. I am assuming that the Church of Light is under new management with different ideas about the Egyptian tarot than the folks had when the Church of Light was located in Los Angeles.

Today at noon I returned to Jonathan Tong’s Seattle Law of One Study Group for another Q & A session. As always the questions that he and his study group asked were full of insight and often also quite fun. These are all serious seekers of truth who have been studying the Law of One for some time and are always eager to have my perceptions of different areas of the Ra contact.

This afternoon I went outside and pumped a quarter of the water out of the fish pond, and while the pond was refilling I fertilized all of the water lilies and also got the fountain raised a few inches higher so that its stream of water goes higher and further which creates more oxygen in the water for the fish to breathe. While the pond was refilling I did a good deal of weeding in the hollyhock garden. I also removed many of the hollyhock leaves which look like they have leaf rust again this year. There must be something in the soil that causes leaf rust because last year I planted the hollyhocks from seed, and this year I planted small hollyhock plants that I bought at a local nursery. My last job was to use my big mower to cut the grass.

Turn From Judgment

I greet you in the holy name of Jesus the Christ. I am the spirit of that consciousness of divine love which speaks to the world.

It has been some time since this instrument has opened itself to the utter peace of total non-judgment.

It is easy to see prejudice outside of the self and to recommend that prejudice be removed. The mundane justice of these thoughts comes across clearly to most seeking souls. Yet these same souls often have anger, resentment, guilt and other negative feelings about themselves.

Does the consciousness of love accept this prejudice of self against self? Surely not. For it is the instruction of Jesus the Christ to love the self and the neighbor as the self.

The beginning of peace lies within, at the cessation of self-judgment and the surrendering of that un-judged, holy and ready-to-be-potentiated self to the consciousness of compassion, joy, peace and love.

Turn from judgment. Live in peace. And be a light for the world.

I would like to remind everyone that we are holding our Meditation for World Peace again tomorrow morning at 11 am Eastern Time. We will meditate for ten minutes and send love, light, and healing energies to the people of Ukraine and Russia.

I did the Morning Offering and then got myself ready for the day. Today the Ra quote comes from 99.5:

“Questioner: Finally, of the preliminary questions, one from Jim stating: “For the last three weeks I have often been at the edge of anger and frustration, have had a nearly constant dull pain at my indigo-ray center, and have felt quite drained of energy. Would Ra comment on the source of these experiences and any thoughts or actions that might alleviate it?”

Ra: I am Ra. As in all distortions, the source is the limit of the viewpoint. We may, without serious infringement, suggest three courses of behavior which shall operate upon the distortion expressed.

Firstly, it would be well for the scribe to engage, if not daily then as nearly so as possible, in a solitary strenuous activity which brings this entity to the true physical weariness. Further, although any activity may suffice, an activity chosen for its intended service to the harmony of the group would be quite efficacious.

The second activity is some of your space/time and time/space taken by the entity, directly or as nearly so as possible to the strenuous activity, for solitary contemplation.

Thirdly, the enthusiastic pursuit of the balancing and silent meditations cannot be deleted from the list of helpful activities for this entity.

We may note that the great forte of the scribe is summed in the inadequate sound vibration complex, power. The flow of power, just as the flow of love or wisdom, is enabled not by the chary conserver of its use, but by the constant user. The physical manifestation of power being either constructive or destructive strenuous activity, the power-filled entity must needs exercise that manifestation.

This entity experiences a distortion in the direction of an excess of stored energy. It is well to know the self and to guard and use those attributes which the self has provided for its learning and its service.”

In this question I had Don ask Ra what was causing the pain in my indigo-ray energy center, and why did I feel so irritable and drained of energy? Ra’s response began with a primary fact of the third-density illusion: “As in all distortions, the source is the limit of the viewpoint.” In other words, each of us within the third-density—and certainly I in this case–functions with a limited viewpoint, and we use that limited viewpoint as our starting point to grow more into a grasp of the unity, the love, the joy, and the light that are primary realities within the creation of the One Infinite Creator. The lack of seeing clearly and without distortion requires that we constantly use our will and faith to seek these qualities even though we may not be much aware of them as truths in our lives. Using our will and faith in this manner is another way of saying that we are polarizing our consciousness. In 100.9, Ra elaborated upon the “limit of the viewpoint:”

Questioner: It would also seem to me that since Ra stated in the last session the limit of the viewpoint is the source of all distortions, that the very nature of the service-to-self distortions that create the left-hand path are a function of the veil and, therefore, are dependent, you might say, to some degree on at least a partial continued veiling. Does this make any sense?

Ra: I am Ra. There is the thread of logic in what you suppose.

The polarities are both dependent upon a limited viewpoint. However, the negative polarity depends more heavily upon the illusory separation betwixt the self and all other mind/body/spirit complexes. The positive polarity attempts to see through the illusion to the Creator in each mind/body/spirit complex, but for the greater part is concerned with behaviors and thoughts directed towards other-selves in order to be of service.

This attitude in itself is full of the stuff of your third-density illusion.

Ra’s next suggestion was that it would help me to do daily work that truly did wear me out because, as they said in the last part of their answer, my nature involved doing physical work. That has always been true in my life, but when I joined Don and Carla there was not so much work of a physical nature that had to be done as there was on my homestead in which I lived in a log cabin with no power or running water. So working hard physically was always good for me, and Ra suggested that if I worked at a task that “an activity chosen for its intended service to the harmony of the group would be quite efficacious.” So I took over the lawn-mowing duties for about two acres of grass, and I dug and planted a large garden in the open area behind the house. I think that Ra suggested that I choose a task that increased the “harmony of the group” because that was one of the qualities of our group that supported the Ra contact as Ra said in 100.15:

All is well. The appurtenances are most conscientiously placed. We thank this diligent group. There is much greater distortion towards harmony at this asking, and we join you in praise and thanksgiving. This is always the greatest boon to improvement of the contact, for it is the harmony of the group which supports this contact.

Ra then suggested that I take some time after the work period to contemplate. I used this time to assess the work that I had accomplished and what work was needed after this to continue to make our place look well-kept and to keep the garden growing. I also considered how I felt after a good afternoon’s hard work and how this was a blessed part of my spiritual journey. To this day, getting good work done in my yard and gardens gives me the feeling of accomplishment. In 95.11, Ra suggested that gardening could be a very valuable kind of work:

There is much of blessing in the gardening and the care of surroundings, for when this is accomplished in love of the creation the second-density flowers, plants, and small animals are aware of this service and return it.

Ra’s third suggestion was that I also include meditation and the balancing exercises that they had given us as a regular part of my daily routine and spiritual practice. I took their suggestions and pursued both meditation and balancing very vigorously for the next few years. In the succeeding years I have used contemplation for the balancing of catalyst, and since Carla’s passing my meditation practice has been accelerated significantly. In 15.14, Ra described the value of meditation to any seeker of truth:

The understanding, experiencing, accepting, and merging of self with self and with other-self and, finally, with the Creator, is the path to the heart of self. In each infinitesimal part of your self resides the One in all of Its power. Therefore, we can only encourage these lines of contemplation, always stating the prerequisite of meditation, contemplation, or prayer as a means of subjectively/objectively using or combining various understandings to enhance the seeking process. Without such a method of reversing the analytical process, one could not integrate into unity the many understandings gained in such seeking.

In the last paragraph Ra suggested that since the quality of power was a significant portion of my being, it was necessary to exercise that power in the manner pursuing the daily work period that would benefit our groups a well as myself. The irritation and the feeling of being drained came from having this energy of power stored rather than exercising it. In 75.39, Ra said that each in our group manifested the three qualities of the magical personality which are power, love, and wisdom:

Questioner: Then is it correct that a good sequence for developing the invocation of the magical personality are alternate meditations, first on power, then a meditation on love, and then a meditation on wisdom, and to continue cycling that way? Is that an appropriate technique?

Ra: I am Ra. This is indeed an appropriate technique. In this particular group there is an additional aid in that each entity manifests one of these qualities in a manner which approaches the archetype. Thusly visualization may be personalized and much love and support within the group generated.

This morning we held a channeling circle with the format being that each of us would channel Q’uo’s answer to a separate question. Everyone did well in their channeling process. Afterward we all talked about how to transfer our intermediate channeling circles to the public channeling meetings that we hope to begin in October.

This afternoon I continued weeding in the flower gardens around the fish pond. I also sprayed deer and rabbit repellent on all of my flowers now that rains seem to be done for a few days. I also sprayed my giant hibiscus with Garden Safe Spray. Then I did my usual Friday vacuuming of the first floor of the house.

The Blessing Of Spirit In Clay

I am of the consciousness of Christ and I greet you in living love.

No matter how much you love the Creator, first your Creator loved you as He apportioned off a piece of the consciousness of love and set it within an energy nexus, a light body which could clothe itself in physical form as you know it. And so you stand this morning, spirit wrapped in a garment of clay.

Know that even though the body appears to be of earth, yet you may dwell with the Father within and through that very same body. For you are the outworking and manifestation of the love of the Creator in Christ. Know and claim the blessing that this knowledge brings.

“Questioner: The instrument asks if it will be all right to keep the small gold cross on while she is in one of these sessions, or will it cause some distortion that is not advisable?

Ra: I am Ra. We scan the mental distortions of the instrument. Although the presence of the metallic substance is in general not recommended, in this instance, as we find those distortions weakening the mental/emotional complex of the instrument due to its empathic distortions, the figure is specifically recommended for use by this instrument. We would request that should any strengthening be done to the chain (as we find intended by this instrument) the strengthening links which symbolize eternity to this instrument be as high in purity, or higher, than the remainder of the device.

In this nexus that which this device represents to this instrument is a much-needed strengthener of the mental/emotional patterns which have been much disrupted from the usual configuration of distortions.”

Ra had previously mentioned that metallic and electromagnetic devices were not recommended in these sessions, as a general rule, as they could potentially interfere with the contact. So in this question Don asks Ra if Carla can wear the gold cross that she had recently purchased in these sessions. Ra said that the gold cross was, in this case, specifically recommended because it gave comfort and strength to Carla as she was trying to recover from the throat problem brought on by unclear communication in our attempt to rent a house near the airport in Atlanta. Ra also suggested that if the links between the cross and the necklace were strengthened to ensure the cross would stay on the necklace (the concept of eternity that Ra mentioned) that it was a good idea for the links to be as pure in gold content as was the rest of the cross and necklace. In 96.2, Ra gave a detailed description of how Carla’s unclear communication concerning the house in Atlanta allowed our negative friend to psychically greet Carla and put her life in jeopardy:

Questioner: Could you tell me the cause of the lessening of the physical and vital energies?

Ra: I am Ra. We found the need of examining the mental configurations of the instrument before framing an answer due to our reluctance to infringe upon its free will. Those concepts relating to the spiritual contemplation of personal catalyst have been appreciated by the entity, so we may proceed.

This entity has an habitual attitude which is singular; that is, when there is some necessity for action the entity is accustomed to analyzing the catalyst in terms of service and determining a course. There was a most unusual variation in this configuration of attitude when this instrument beheld the dwelling which is to be inhabited by this group.

The instrument perceived those elementals and beings of astral character of which we have spoken. The instrument desired to be of service by achieving the domicile in question but found its instincts reacting to the unwelcome presences. The division of mind configuration was increased by the continuing catalyst of lack of control. Had this entity been able to physically begin cleansing the dwelling, the, shall we say, opening would not have occurred.

Although this entity attempted clear communication upon this matter, and although each in the support group did likewise, the amount of blue-ray work necessary to uncover and grasp the nature of the catalyst was not effected. Therefore, there was an opening quite rare for this mind/body/spirit complex, and into this opening the one which greets you moved and performed what may be considered to be the most potent of its purely magical manifestations to this present nexus, as you know time.

It is well that this instrument is not distorted towards what you may call hysteria, for the potential of this working was such that had the instrument allowed fear to become greater than the will to persevere when it could not breathe, each attempt at respiration would have been even more nearly impossible until the suffocation occurred, which was desired by the one which greets you in its own way. Thus the entity would have passed from this incarnation.

As I remember it, the “empathic distortions” that Ra speaks about concerning Carla were Carla’s ability to feel Don’s physical and mental weariness building as time went on. And it was because of Don’s weariness that we considered moving to Atlanta so he could be closer to his work as an Eastern Airlines pilot based in Atlanta. Carla’s empathic abilities were significant as she could sense what people were feeling that she had never met but who might sit at a nearby table in a restaurant or walk by her on the street. In 106.22, Ra gave another example of how Carla’s empathic abilities functioned regarding Don:

Questioner: Can you tell me what the instrument’s difficulty was with her last whirlpool?

Ra: I am Ra. The instrument took on the mental/emotional nature and distortion complex of the questioner as we have previously noted. The instrument has been taking the swirling waters at temperatures which are too hot and at rates of vibration which, when compounded by the heat of the swirling waters, bring about the state of light shock, as you would call the distortion. The mind complex has inadequate oxygen in this distorted state and is weakened.

In this state the instrument, having the questioner’s distortion without the questioner’s strength of the distortion one might liken to the wearing of armor, began to enter into an acute psychotic episode. When the state of shock was past the symptoms disappeared. The potential remains as the empathic identity has not been relinquished, and both the questioner and the instrument live as entities in a portion of the mental/emotional complex of the instrument.

This morning I worked on Chapter One of Living the Law of One 103: The Inner Work. I was glad to find some areas when a quote from Ra or some thoughts from me were helpful in fleshing out the concepts that were being discussed.

This afternoon was the first afternoon this week where we didn’t get some rain, so I went outside and began weeding in the back yard. I began in the astilbe garden which is fairly large and got it weeded. Then I moved on to the Hidden Garden and got it weeded. My last two gardens to weed were the flower garden in the middle of the Moss Garden and the Ruins Mound, which I weeded with my trimmer.

The Nature Of The Holy Spirit

I am of the principle of the love of Christ and I greet you in the full consciousness of love.

We are aware that you have been wondering what is the nature of the Holy Spirit, for we address ourselves as “we,” and there are innumerable hosts of those of the Holy Spirit. We are spiritual elementals, characters and creatures of light which, moving from the undifferentiated Logos of love, are called to manifest as agents of light.

Many have received this vibration with great clarity and channeled our thoughts as if they were those of Jesus the Christ. This is not correct, as we move upon the same principles which Jesus the Christ exemplified and articulated but are not incarnational beings. Were we to appear visible before you, we would be creatures of light, dancing flames of vitality, energy, life and renewal. This is the spirit of life-giving love. We glint in the air about you, awaiting the inner call for our presence. May each call us early and late, that we may join together with the incarnated spirit of humankind to glorify that love which is beyond words.
