I still stay confused with some terminologies of Ra on cosmology. My view is:

1) There is infinity. That isn't the same as intelligent infinity. So the infinity became aware of itself through the first distortion called free will.

The intelligent infinity discerned a concept. This concept was discerned due to freedom of will of awareness. This concept was finity. This was the first and primal paradox or distortion of the Law of One. Thus the one intelligent infinity invested itself in an exploration of many-ness.

where they at least give an explanation for refusing to provide information, there are two cases where they decline the queries with absolutely no comment or explanation. The first such case appears in book 1:

Questioner: Is there a “best way” to meditate?
Ra: I am Ra. No.

Then in book 2, following a reply of over 30 lines that includes reference to the importance of meditation, Don pops the simple question again that prompts an abrupt and unexpected shortness of a reply.

Questioner: Will you recommend a technique of meditation?
Ra: I am Ra. No.

There are several cases when they refuse to give an answer, but in ALL of those cases they provide an explanation - could be harmful, law of confusion, intervening material needed, etc. Except these two, which are essentially the same, but also different enough for there to be a chance of a slightly different reply (the sessions are over 11 weeks apart) with at least some comment at least for the second one. Yet we have these two simple No's. I understand why they're a no and not a yes. But not even a voluntary listing of ways and techniques (they do provide that information regarding techniques in another reply though, so obviously not a "secret", and they often add further unrequested comments voluntarily) nor any comment whatsoever. Has this stood out for anyone else? Any thoughts as to why no comment at all? Might be trivial, but then again could be on to something.

I was listening to the Scott Mandelker Law of One series (where he goes through all 106 sessions, in sequence), and come across this little gem of a definition, that hadn't registered with me before.  

Despite the Ra Material being dear to my heart for over ten years, and having subjected it to considerable analysis, there are still sentences (and phrases) that I'm consciously recognising for the first time.

Like things I've scanned over (and read), but it's like - 'how come I didn't see this before!".

Anyway, this was Ra's observation on one aspect of humor --

"This instrument is bearing up well due to replenished vital energies and a distortion towards a sense of proportion which your peoples call a sense of humor."

how key is that in the Earth Journey, when things can seem so dire and beyond repair?

Humor is not necessarily about making fun of things, or a sense of mockery.  Humor - when done right - puts things into perspective - and helps us to laugh at our previous sense of over-seriousness.  The good comedians can shed so much light on the pain and suffering that we go through together in this life.  It's not about 'joke jokes' - it's about balance and understanding.

This Ra observation really crystallised this!

I am of the opinion that Orion is cautious to perform any activity which might result in a loss of polarity for them. I'm not sure how exactly that fits into the act of channeling Orion, because surely Orion would take any opportunity for the chance to distort The Law of One and take part in its own production of "The Orion Material." On the other hand, if Orion gave an STO channeler information that was flawed as far as the "producing a guide for those to swiftly move along the STS path" goes, would that not also cause a loss of polarity to them [Orion]?

Then there is this idea of the harvest. I always thought that we get sorted into STS and STO, then don't meet again 'till 7D or 8D (octave) or whatever, when we re-merge. So why then is there an assumption on our part that it's Orion's goal to get as many people as possible on the path to STS graduation? And if this latter assumption is true [in other words: that Orion doesn't care about the volume of the STS-harvest, they want whatever they can get], would that also not compel Orion to provide the channeler, regardless of the channeling entity's polarity, with truly polarizing information that would be more or less as carefully-crafted as the very discreet responses of Ra?

I guess it's very difficult to imagine what an STS guide or Orion-sourced material would look like. I think there is also a fair amount of misunderstanding as to how this information would take shape. We all serve the creator. We all love. Would they then not also be obliged or prone, even, to give us their unadulterated version of the Law of One?

additional question: at some point, the negatively-polarized social memory complex such as Orion must need to keep their heart chakra open, able to recieve love. Ra declines assistance from the Orion group, but claims to send love to them. They must certainly receive this love, being unable to maintain polarity if they refuse it. What happens to those loving thoughts sent by Ra to the Orion group, and how can Ra decline the assistance of the Orion group and also still keep polarization? I feel like it should go both ways. Maybe I am confused. I thought that at Ra's point in 6D, there is no longer a negative/positive STS/STO dichotomy. Does this mean that Ra is as STS as they are STO? I feel like Ra has said "I am as positive as I am negative" - and aren't STO/STS and Positive/Negative polarity each respectively, inextricably linked to one another?

I guess I'm unclear on this, too: is the Orion group an anti-confederation coalition or a social memory complex? (Does that really even matter?)

In this session, Ra refers to the two wanderers who unintentionally negatively polarized and self-harvested to 4D negative during their second cycle.

To be fully honest and transparent here, I have to say that I can somewhat empathize with their attitude toward those neutral beings.  Though I can not see myself using the "domination unto physical death" as a means of promoting growth and evolution in other-selves, I have been known to use the very sharply pointed words as sort of a "zen slap" in order to shock a person momentarily into a higher state of awareness, in hopes that this may catalyze them into seeking.

Though, for the most part, this does not work and the other-self quickly returns to their slumber... occasionally it does work, with the result of people approaching me at a later time, sometimes after many years, and thanking me for my pointed remarks.  Having lodged themselves into their consciousness, it seems at times to have prevented them from fully returning to an unconscious state.

Whereas the alternative proposed by Ra, to "offer those comforts designed for the sleeping" or to idly "send them love and light and wish them well", quite frankly, seem overly lazy and complacent to me, even to the point of bordering on condescension.  Again, just trying to share my honest perspective here.

In any case, this leads me to two questions regarding how this may all affect one's polarity.

The first has to do with the free-will of the other-self.   As Ra has unequivocally stated, the purpose of taking incarnation is to spiritually evolve.  And so, while the incarnated self may have not "asked" for the service, the larger portion of themselves, indeed, has the intention of evolving.  And if their connection to their own soul is too blocked or ignored as to make any difference, than what other option do we have than to try to awaken them from within the 3D environment?

In other words- when considering the possible infringement upon free-will are we to only consider that which has been requested by the small incarnated self, or does the will of the larger being outside of the space/time incarnation take precedence?

Secondly- Ra says here that these two beings polarized negatively despite having created results contrary to their intentions.  So which is it that holds sway in determining the polarization?  Intentions or outcomes?  Because Q'uo often suggests that it is only the intention that counts, and not the outcome... so their teachings appear to be at odds here.

Hi, I've only just started reading the Ra material and I am nearly at the end of book one. My question is this - if someone desires to be of service to others but are in a situation where they cannot, how does this affect how they are perceived? For example, if someone has an illness and can't leave home, what could this person do to be of service? I also have another question - is service to animals the same as service to humans? Or is service to others specifically towards other humans?
